One suggestion if you plan on doing any excursions in the islands, look up which ones the cruise companies use, these companies must meet certain standards. Beware of booking "local" with no affiliations. They may not be safe as they are not required to meet safety standards. Also, nothing better than fresh coconut water, it does taste good and is refreshing but it is also a laxative so best to limit how much you drink.

That Caye Caulker fire truck was originally operating in Concord Township, Ohio, USA, where my parents lived for forty years. It was sold to Belize in the 1980s I guess. Crazy.

If you are enjoying the tropical vibes I would recommend Harbour Island and Spanish Wells, both are sister islands of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. Its a short flight from Miami or ATL not too far from Florida into the North Eleuthera Airport. From there you take a water taxi to paradise. Delta offers flights from ATL to North Eleuthera and American goes from Miami to North Eleuthera.
