This bike reminds me of the Cowboy a lot: it also has a rear hub motor, a belt drive, and a torque sensor for that more natural acceleration. The aesthetic also seems kinda similar. But while Curt is lighter (~3kg), the Cowboy has GPS tracking, a detachable battery, and costs €600 less …

In these parts unless you bike in special shoes, shorts, gloves, a helmet, and a bike shirt that makes a statement, bikers look down on you as unprofessional. A review like this would just about make them fall off of their bikes!

How is your experience so far with the curt?
@lotnik19763 жыл бұрын
@@souhail8398 So far so good - only approx. 100 km ridden but without issues. This thing is really fast and nimble... but also quite hard - no suspension so riding on forest trails is quite bumpy... the app is probably the weakest point - sometimes drives me crazy but it's a bike and I want to ride not play with software :) Charging is fine and quite quick and range is as indicated - approx. 80 km. What I really like is the weight and look - it's like normal bike so there is no problem if you need to carry this thing on the stairs. Really good city/street commuter!
@souhail83983 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Did you get it with gears?
@lotnik19763 жыл бұрын
@@souhail8398 Yes - I thought it will be necessary due to my typical commuting route - quite hilly. but after few rides I actually don't know if I need them - used them only 2 times just to check the difference... for mountains and long uphill rides probably yes but for ups and downs I doubt. Single speed will do the job I think (of course it depends on your conditions and experience with biking :))
@souhail83983 жыл бұрын
Yes, I was thinking what if the battery runs out while riding it or when you forget to charge it someday. Then the gears would be a really big help.

"the single speed hype is over" lol what an unreflected statement. it makes totally sense for a city e-bike. If you use a geared e bike in a flat city you mostly stay in one gear because there's no need to shift. But if you don't use gears, they break after a while because the chain can't distribute the grease sufficiently over the gears.
@lovemadeinjapan2 жыл бұрын
4:34 Wow, you really ride it in that jumpsuit! I would never try that, my wide leg pants always get eaten by chains or belts. Only shorts or girlfriend jeans on a bicyle! Are Hamburgarians (or is it Hamburgers?) less helmet-focussed? More like Dutch/Danish bike culture compared to Bavarian bicycle channels?

yes, the assistance change at your feets makes absolutely zero sense. no idea what ampler thought when doing this nonsense.
