IMPACT OF PREVAILING WINDS • India lies in the region of North Easterly winds, which Originate from subtropical high pressure belt of the Northern hemisphere. • They blow south,gets deflected to the right due to Coriolis force, and move on towards equatorial low pressure area. Generally , these winds carry very little moisture as they originate and blow over the land . Therefore,they bring very little or no rain. Hence ,India should have been arid land, but it's not so. On the other hand monsoon are also the prevailing winds over the whole of India

Sir I had a question that in summer season there must be less pressure on land and more pressure in sea so winds should move from sea to land and cause large amount of rainfall in summer season and the winds should be moving from south west direction to north east direction but you taught just opposite of this at 12:35

@Arman Goyal , Actually all the moving of winds is not a very hastened process but a gradual one.......the land as well as the sea takes time for the process . The temperature difference during summers(March-May) is the cause of south-west monsoon (June-September) .

@@armangoyal4723 hey , I think your sir, teached wrong that pressure inversely proportional to temperature secondly in summer seasons lands are warms but sea is colder due to that not much evaporation takes place so less water vapour so less moist air so no rainfall or very less rainfall brings by the pressure 🤓
