Well, the german company Beha acquired Amprobe (US) in 2006, but was itself taken over 3 years before by Danaher. So, well, Danaher has a bunch of different brands today.. ^^ It's now called "Beha-Amprobe" as brand. Danaher owns Fluke, Beha-Amprobe, Tektronix, Leica, PMA, Keithley, ...

Great videos ☺ they've been vert helpful. Especially these multimeter reviews! found alot of things I needed to know in your reviews over other videos so keep up the good work. I ended up going for the AM530 and the UT61E after watching these! very happy with both. keep up the top work! ☺☺ Thanks again ☺ Jason from Sheffield, England

I want to start saying you do a great job!!! Can you please do a review on the Amprobe AM 570? I'm trying to compare the AM 570 to the Fluke 115.

I just bought a AM-570, because of the wide range of features, but mainly because it has a low impedance function. I’m constantly encountering ghost voltage, but I don’t know if my meter is working correctly. When I depress the 400Kohm button for 3 seconds it beeps, and when I release the button goes right back in AC Volts. I can’t get it to go into AC Volts/ low impedance mode. Do I have to continually hold down the 400k button? I can’t imagine Amprobe would build a meter where you have to hold down a button while taking a measurement ( ?). Can any of you AM-570 folks

49:12 Uni-T-61E is a winner over AM-530 or in whole category of similar multimeters for 50$?

these are $80 now. I bought one and the continuity is very slow. Not good when you're trying to troubleshoot circuits

Thanks for doing this. The manual is not very good. It's 290 pages, only 19 pages in English. The type is big, information minimal (actually less than minimal). Printed the 19 pages it's too big to fold or cut down to fit in the case. The Non-Contact Voltage barely works. As this is a safety tool-this is not acceptable. I'm thinking of sending it back. I'm not an electronics geek, more of a DIY bodger who'd like a good reliable multi-meter. Too much fussing, screen is dim. You have to select the Hold button to turn on the back light, which turns off in seconds. Another 4 handed tool for us two handed people. Yeah, it's going back. Too much and not enough.

+WillN2Go1 Yeah it has a lot of shortcomings considering its price. One area is does fairly well is safety and robustness, if that matters to you. (this meter, and the other 14 all got tested by joeqsmith on his transient generation rig.)

why in every review i see people talking about durability and what happens when a dmm is dropped or damaged or something like that. really? who is that dumb to kick or wanna destroy his dmm? lol
@TechnologyCatalyst
@TechnologyCatalyst 7 жыл бұрын
I completely understand, as I've never personally dropped a DMM ever, but a lot of people keep theirs out in their garage and take it out in the field with them and often gets banged around or dropped. For the average electronics enthusiast, it's not really a problem, but for the industrial people it could matter.

why do manufacturers use such shity calibration potentiometers? it's what you would expect from a harbor freight DMM.
@TechnologyCatalyst

+Evan Perry I think this model is OEM'd by UNI-T, the Chinese DMM maker. That might have something to do with it :)

+TechnologyCatalyst. I'd agree, they are on centech, mastech and so on. pretty much any DMM under the 150 mark, I've found. they just don't work like a real pot. thanks for the reply. great review.
