AMRA RAM-Page Hare Scramble, Page AZ 2022

I must have been out of my mind to pick this course as my first ever motorcycle race. In the end though, I did finish and really had a blast. Everyone was super cool and it was an amazing experience!

It was definitely a brutal race. I was totally unprepared for that type of sand and crashed more times in this race than any other race. With that said I loved this course and hopeful they add Page back in the series next year. 🤞

Lol... yeah it was exhausting. I was pretty gassed by the end of the race. It was way more fun than I was expecting. Can't wait for the next race. Forgot to stop for gas Lol. Guess I was in the zone, glad I didn't run out.

Hey Chad great to hear from you! Everyone in your group was so welcoming, I really appreciated that. Helped calm the nerves for sure. I anticipated the course being difficult but I was totally unprepared for that terrain, especially the sand. As tough as the course was I had a blast and can't wait for next year. Yes let's definitely go out and ride. I'm out riding almost every weekend, so anytime you're in this neck of the woods let me know and we'll go out riding. Say hello to Neal and Tom for me. Dude, that's one hell of a race! The sand! Man, riding at Wildcat couldn't prepare you for this brutality! ha! But wow you kicked butt. You were like a freight train through the sand, just kept charging. Awesome riding, can't believe that was your first race. Congrats man! Great footage 👍✌

Thanks Dirt Zen! The sand was relentless for sure. The first lap, which is on the GoPro, really kicked my butt. Not to mention I broke the clutch lever on the first lap and had to finish the last two laps with half a lever. Kept stalling because I couldn't keep the clutch in. The hills going down were really just drop-offs into sand. Had a few face plants with those. As difficult as it was, it's such a blast you just want to keep going.

@@ChrisCameron1984 I can't believe you did 3 laps of that, you're a beast! Ya those downhills with the soft sand at the bottom looked sketchy! I bet everyone was face planting on those! Glad you survived! Keep the videos coming, they're fun to watch from the couch haha :)

@@DirtZen Haha... you're exactly right. There were a lot of frustrated riders after that first lap. Quite a few bailed unfortunately. It got easier once you knew what to look out for. We were warned at the riders meeting and they weren't kidding. BTW saw your video exploring the east side, love that trail and it's no cake walk for sure. If you're ever looking for someone to ride with around the Wildcat area let me know.
