I would like to ask you the clutch issue, Is the slave cylinder of clutch that went out? Or the inside metal/friction plates?

I was hoping it was only the slave cylinder but unfortunately it was actually a defect in the friction plates. I have over 300+ hours with the new clutch and no issues at all.

Yes I agree and was frustrated after watching the video., that I didn’t make a pass sooner. That's part of why I make the videos so I can see where I need to improve, and passing is certainly at the top of my list. I loved the course and the whoops were a blast.

Good Job! the rider around the 10 minute mark slowed you way down and would not get out of the way, give them a good rev , if they do not move out of the way after that get around them any way you can!

Thanks man, yeah a few people commented on that guy. This is a great race for practicing passing riders that won't move over. In general I was able to pass most riders pretty easy, for some reason not this guy. Everytime I watch the video I'm yelling at myself to pass this guy Lol... 🤣

Thanks for coming out to race with us. 11:42 is where things went wrong...where the youth on the kx turned at the 3 arrows. a group followed, it was a long wash with no markings. Red flag is no fun but i think it was best to be fair.

Yeah that was a really fun race. The gearing is setup with the factory settings. I haven't made any modifications to the bike. It ran strong through the entire race with no issues.

Good day, how many hours does your 2022 FC450 have without changing the piston?

Currently my 2022 FC450 has 355 hours with no piston change. I have two races on January 6th and 7th which are primarily motocross races. I'll be racing the 450 in both races. So far I haven't noticed any issues with the bike. I'm not sure how long the bike will perform well with the original piston but will post here when it begins to fail.

This is in the Wildcat/Rio Verde area. If you follow Camp Creek about half way to Needle Rock you can't miss the hill in this video. Great area to ride and close to home. You might also try Boulders aka Mile Markers. I have recently been riding out there and it's one of my favorites!

Helmet mount? Curious where you mounted yours. I was told to take off my GoPro chin mount 2023 for some reason. I ride this race annually and want to watch were I messed up or did well.

From what I understand they told everyone not to use the chin and helmet mounts. I have a chest mount with a harness that goes over the shoulder. Not ideal but at least they didn't say anything, or probably just didn't notice Lol...

I used MOTOREX Cross Power 4T 10W/50 for every oil change on the FC 450. I think more importantly is the frequency of oil changes. I never went over 10 hours without changing the oil. Essentially I changed the oil every week.

No, so far the bike is still running strong at 350 hours. The clutch problem was probably due to a faulty part which Husky replaced for free. I would buy this bike again without hesitation if I was looking for a new 4 stroke. 👍

It was definitely a brutal race. I was totally unprepared for that type of sand and crashed more times in this race than any other race. With that said I loved this course and hopeful they add Page back in the series next year. 🤞

Thanks man! Yeah this was a really fun race with the awesome terrain. Nice to get out of the desert for a change. Good question on the GoPro battery. I just use the regular GoPro battery and have been struggling with recording time. I can usually get about 50 minutes and cut out about 10 minutes of footage while I'm at the starting line. The biggest gain I found was making sure the screen turns off after 1 minute. That was on the entire time previously, and I was only able to get about 30 minutes. I know there are a few other tricks but I haven't explored those. Trystan Hart seems to be getting about 90 minutes in his videos and it doesn't look like he's stopping to change batteries. Not sure how he's running the GoPro so long.

They can record up to like three hours of HD. I'll stay tuned to your vids, you caught my eye when I watched your first vid when you just picked up your new two stroke. I enjoyed your commentary about "I don't even know what gear I'm in, stay with me guys". Then the next thing I see you're racing it in a different video and doing great. Good stuff. @@onthethrottle7104 Thanks man, yeah shortly after the first video my son launched the bike off a cliff (The Point) and it went end over end. He broke his tail bone and healed before the bike was actually repaired. Long story short I got the bike back from the shop 1 week before the race. I really didn't expect to do very well so I thought I would take the bike and race it. Not sure if I would have done better with the 4 stroke but man I had a lot of fun riding the TX 300. Thanks for the info on the GoPro. 3 hours would be perfect for a race, I'm definitely looking into the extended battery pack. 👍

Oh dang man that's rough. I can relate though, hit a tree pretty hard myself, nothing broken fortunately. I did ride the Husky TX 300 2 stroke in this race. All I can say is I wish I had never ridden a 2 stroke because I can never go back to my 4 stroke again Lol... Just kidding I love both bikes. I actually won the race in my class with this bike. I can't explain why, but it just handles so much better on an Enduro course.

@@gilmag1530 Super awesome race for sure. My first time up there so I don't know the Canyon very well. We started at one of the larger camp grounds (staging areas) then rode a short transfer to the first test. The trail was clearly labeled for motorcycles, hikers and mountain bikes. Hopefully I will get back up there over the summer and will have a better idea were I'm at exactly. Really cool area to ride!!!
