Amrep Octo Front Loader: Commercial Waste Services

Seeing an Amrep in person for the first time was quite the experience in itself, but this one was running an interesting route with cool bins, had bottom forks, and a master driver at the controls. Easlily one of my all time favorite trucks filmed. If I remember correctly the driver told me this truck is either a 98 or 99. They also have a green older style Hardox body I spotted collecting in Koreatown on the same street as the UPW Hardox. All in all Commercial Waste seems like a very well run operation. They dominate the Little Tokyo area where this was filmed, both front load and roll off.
I spent two mornings following this truck, that's why a couple of the clips are of the same stops. Thanks a ton to the driver, as you can see a pro with his truck. Filmed July 25 and 26, 2012

Awesome footage George! Really enjoyed the hard revving at some intervals in the vid. Always nice to hear. Good screetch to this truck also. I liked how you moved the tri-pod to get up with the dumpster, keeing it all smooth in the shot. Spotted an LA City New Way in the background at 5:02.

Glad you like it. I thought it was cool to see all the bins get picked up with the bottom channel forks lol. The 1yd was my favorite though. We have a select few 1yds here too, but they're wider and at what feels like ankle height to accomodate the side forks. And ours aren't nearly as decorated.

Thanks! I forgot to mention the New Way in the description, but it was only a matter of time before someone with a keen eye caught it. My favorite of the high rev shots is the last one where the theing just flies. Way more interesting than the FLs I'm used to.
