Dear Amrutha Ji, your rendition is so soulful, precise and clear - a rare quality among carnatic singers to have all these qualities. You remind me of what Mahakavi Bharathiyaar had once asked out of carnatic singers - the need to train their voices and develop a voice culture similar to the Hindustani vocalists and you exemplify this. What I see most among carnatic singers is either there is too much of manodharma exposition without bhAva, or too much melody and limited manodharma and rarely I see a balance. I see that balance in your singing that is well complemented by your gifted voice and pronunciation. You also seem to be an excellent teacher. Amateur hobbyists like me are greatly benefitting from your videos and I am sure those learning directly from you are probably benefitting multi-fold. Not all good musicians make an excellent teacher, so that is again a rare quality that you have demonstrated. Keep up the great work. I am looking forward to listening and learning more from you. I also wish my son can train under you when he grows up. He is currently 3.5 years old and is showing interest in music.
