You can build roads, small bridges, seawalls dikes ,homes buildings ,and convert into energy.whats nice about plastic you can build major highways anywhere in the world when it's cold does not come apart,and when it's hot doesn't burn your feet ,there's lots of uses with recycled plastic,also if you build ,recycled plastic buildings, homes they are earthquake,wind and water / tsunami resistant.

Yes in Kenya there are plastic tiles manufactured and placed on Nairobi as sidewalks and biking lanes.

I have been looking for some kind of endorsement by an authority of the recycled plastics and other waste materials as effective input for road construction. Now I am convinced that the plastic waste issue is still a lingering issue not for want of effective technology to make it productive but for want of proper planning and implementation at local levels as well as at higher levels. I am very very sorry to remind time and again that we have no effective and reliable system for systematic collection and recycling of non degradable and hazardous wastes in the country. The public places everywhere including my own neighborhood is testimony to the sorry state of every program and policies remaining just on paper! We should have a proper waste collection and disposal system adequately incentivised with producers, consumers and govts remaining part of the loop held responsible for effective implementation. If the country wants to become prosperous and developed I think the very first step should be proper mechanism for environment protection so that more development activities would not mean more damage to our environment and worse garbage issues.

Plastic cannot be used for roads, there is a reason why we use concrete and asphault. Roads take a lot of abuse. Tires have rocks and metal stuck in them and will tear apart a road.

I have a question. We have a LOT of VERY RICH people in the U.S. (Hollywood, Media, etc) complaining about pollution, plastics, etc. My question is WHY haven't they invested in THIS kind of Solution instead of forcing EVERYONE ELSE to pay higher taxes to collect this stuff and ship it to some OTHER country???
