@@screennameoflate7788 I play all three games and they are all good at what they do. They all have their unique features. ACC doesn't have tire flex like AMS2 for example, but cars feel more bitey on the road and trail braking is more realistic. I like them for what they are.

Great work by the whole team! The new physics updates are now putting AMS2 on the front row of the grid when it comes to driving feel IMO. Loving the GT1s, G58, DPi, Porsche Cup, Group A, the list goes on! Will be great to have it extended to all the cars but there's quite a library to go through!

Thanks Renato and team! AMS2 really developed a lot in the last year, leaving even rF2 behind in tearms of physics an driving feeling. You guys have been doing some good work these last few months and this update is amazing. I waited until I gave it a drive before making a comment and really I cant believe how detailed the tires feel now. I went to Spa in the AMG and honestly it was so real feeling I thought I could feel vibrations coming through my pedal. I started wondering if I had a force feed back on with it or what and then it hit me that the car felt so real that my brain was just putting in the engine vibration through the floorboard. The AMG has a weight and depth to it now that it never had before, you can feel right where the edge is and I dropped .5 on my best time and that is without changing set ups which I think will be a must with the new tires. I will say, I went to a race at Laguna and it felt like the tires reverted back to the previous model and lets just say you notice the change pretty easily. We really love what you guys are doing and keep up the good work.

I'm new to AMS2 and gotta say I'm impressed and also proud to be Brazilian. Recently I found your channel by you commenting on Vitor Genz video about the new Stock cars and I really appreciate your videos. So I'm here to give a suggestion about doing a in depth video about Force feedback dynamics and setting up suggestions, specially that now it looks like has being improved from old days. I'm on high end belt wheel (TM TS-PC) and find difficulty to get the optimum setup without understanding exactly what is happening. Cheers!

Well, I think the GT5 class is my new favorite class for driving on short tracks, in particular the Puma P052. What a beautiful car. I looks like a cross between a Lotus Elise and a Mazda Miata. It sounds great and handles very nicely. I also like what feels like the engine vibrations coming through the wheel. I use an old g27 and it feels fine, but it must feel better through a dd wheel. Thanks for the work you guys are putting into AMS 2 to really make it stand out. I'm going back to do some more rac'in.

Brilliant questions, love you're relaxed, straight forward bright and slightly humorous conversation style, in depth, detailed, long format, its like listening to Joe Rogan! Brilliant section on tire physics going into depth about how compensations in other areas had to be made for the old tire model and how they need to now be worked out with the new tire model working more correctly, the knock on effect of one thing affecting so many other areas, really interesting! And as Renato said its an area that will be in constant development as there is so much to learn. Made me think about music, you literally can never stop learning, there is no one musician in the world, even the virtuoso's who can't find a new style, sound, way of playing. Absoloutely fascinating to hear mate! Loved it!

Congratulations to the whole team for what you have achieved so far. The level of simulation you are aiming for is impressive. It would be interesting to have the race time effectively define a sprint or endurance type event where the player and AI have to adapt their pace to manage not only the tyres but the clutch and brake wear and keep driveline stress and fatigue in mind. Would love to create a custom championship where the engine, gearbox etc carry over to the next event or have limited replacements.

I really appreciate all the improvements to physics, tyres, differential, new content, etc. One thing I'm disappointed is controller support. AMS1 works great on a controller but AMS2 has the same issues that the PCars games have, built-in controller filters that cannot be turned off and cause input delay, and controller vibration is almost non-existent. I really wish Reiza would include the option to completely disable all the filters and have full control of the car like in AMS1.
@Bonkikavo2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. I would like to race with gyro steering that works great in every other racing game i have installed, except AMS2. Just add option to disable filters. I have a wheel too but it's clunky to mount and gyro Steam controller works excellent with LC pedals.

@@screennameoflate7788 this type of elitist ignorant toxic attitude is one of the things that ruins the sim community.
@natel73822 жыл бұрын
It is not elitist. It's like the skateboarding games that only have controller support. The devs have a vision and it's elitist to say they deserve to serve you when the percentage of sim racers using a controller is very small. To say the devs vision is whatever and because they designed it with a wheel in mind but should also cater to you is elitist.

This is my joint number 1 sim now alongside ACC. All the ACC I guys I race with are also taking notice of AMS2. It is damn good. And the mix of new and older cars, historic cars, the sounds, the experience....it is unmatched. I would go as far to say that the driving experience is now (takes cover) the best in sim racing. I still go to ACC for the online competition and so on. But, the guys I race with are now thinking of running a league on AMS2 also. It is a superb simulator right now.

Love the sim. Today again, I have about 30 minutes to get a quick race in and my button plate stops working. I try to reboot everything and it still does not work. This happens almost evertime there is an update. Then it randomly works fine days later when I have no time to use it. Very frustrating. It's the game not my equipment.

Whilst for the most part the updates have been great. The games been heading in the right direction for a long time now. IDK what you guys did to the 720S but it's gone from being a joy to drive to an understeer on entry/oversteer on exit dogs dinner. Woe betide you should even THINK of applying power mid turn you just going straight on regardless. On top of that the brakes have gone from having complete confidence in them at all phases when on the brakes to bugger all or total lock up being the only options. How is this even possible? Did someone change they rubber inflated tyres for the plastic ones on kids pedal karts? All the prior confidence in the car is completely gone as a result and almost nothing makes a significant step to dialing this out. It's actually worse now than when they had the random snap oversteer issue last year..
@raybaby78952 жыл бұрын
Not to be rude or anything and in all honesty I mostly drive the AMG, but the 720s have over performed for a long time and they may just be trying to dial it back to get the GT3s more balanced. Also, it seems every time they make a big change like this some of the cars are adversely affected. Lets be honest though 720s having a 3 and even 4 second advantage on every track in TT and this is not because all of the best drivers are on them, and if they are balancing the cars out you can bet some people are not going to be happy.

@@raybaby7895 Sorry I beg to differ, I frequently race some of the fastest in game and I've regularly been beaten by them (in Porsches more often then the Merc's). Point is why nerf one car so badly it's almost undrivable and loses tenths of a second in every corner? Not bragging but my podium ratio is 0.53 and pole ratio is 0.5, so when the nerfing hampers the car to a point that I'm struggling in every corner it makes me feel like I'm wasting my time and effort..
@SRS13Rastus2 жыл бұрын
@@andreic5822 Nope but then again after extensive testing and retuning the car it's nigh on impossible to get the car to turn in accurately, having to coast through apexes then wait till the car is straight before applying power when before I had complete confidence on the brakes, could hover on the gas mid turn to maintain corner speed and gradually increase power on the exit. All of that is now gone completely.
