Can I use amsoil dirt 10w50 for my Royal Enfield parallel twin engine??
@Best-Synthetic-Oilscom5 жыл бұрын
What oil was originally used in the engine?
@Best-Synthetic-Oilscom5 жыл бұрын
If your Royal Enfield is newer, it probably takes AMSOIL 15W-50 Metric Motorcycle oil (product code MFFQT-EA).

2050 MOTOR oil can go into all three holes on a 2012 soft tail?
@Best-Synthetic-Oilscom6 жыл бұрын
Yes, if you use a 20W-50 oil that is rated for such duty. AMSOIL MCV 20W-50 is rated so.

How does the Vtwin 20w50 compare to the Metric 10w40 in cold weather starting? Say down to 15 degrees Fahrenheit? I've been using the Metric, but I recently had some forged pistons installed and I've heard that going to a bit thicker oil may quiet them down and reduce blue smoke at start up. My manual says to only run 20w50 down to 32°F, but I think they're probably talking about conventional oil. I was hoping your 20w50 would flow well enough to use this winter. Thank you!

AMSOIL MCV 20W-50 will be almost twice as thick as AMSOIL MCF 10W-40 at 15F - much too thick to lubricate your engine at start-up, and could cause oil starvation / premature wear. I would stick with the 10W-40, or even drop to the MCT 10W-30 motorcycle oil. Forged pistons swell as they heat up and they are noisy until they do so. Attempting to quiet that noise on a cold day by using a thicker engine oil is likely to create more problems that it cures. Contact me directly at (678) 787-3028 if you want to discuss further.

This is an old video, I have a 2019 Harley Davidson Road Glide Ultra and Amsoil sells 3 different oils for the engine, gearbox and primary, yet here you say you can use one oil in all three holes, which is it?
@Best-Synthetic-Oilscom5 жыл бұрын
It is an old video, but still accurate. AMSOIL 20W-50 (product code MCV) is recommended by AMSOIL for use in the engine, primary drive and transmission of Harley motorcycles, including your 2019 RGU. As an alternative, you can use AMSOIL Synthetic V-Twin Primary Fluid (product code MVP) and AMSOIL Synthetic V-Twin Transmission Fluid (product code MVT). Either way works great. The MVP is slightly thinner (lower viscosity) than the 20W-50 and the MVT is slightly thicker than the 20W-50. Most riders can't tell the difference, but all enjoy the improved performance over stock fluids.

I am interested in trying AMSOIL for my 2011 Honda CBR 1000RR. Honda calls for 10w 30 for all late model sports bikes (2006 and up). Most major oil brands don't make a 10w 30. What do you think of the AMSOIL metric 10w 30 for my bike. Also, is this oil ester based or ester fortified like some other synthetic oils?
@Best-Synthetic-Oilscom6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the note. AMSOIL Metric 10W-30 will give you outstanding protection, and the lower viscosity will give you better performance compared to heavier 10W-40 motorcycle oils. AMSOIL no longer publishes the actual chemistry make-up of their products due to the highly competitive nature of the market. Don't worry about what's in it - focus on what it does! Contact me directly at (678) 787-3028 or info@best-synthetic-oils.com for more information and best pricing options for you.

Amsoil mc oil is high in zinc and phosphorus to prevent engine wear, and contains esters for rust and dry start protection. It's also 100% synthetic (designed in a lab for a specific application) which provides excellent protection against breakdown from heat. I'm thrilled with the results and will never use anything else. Not sure ... just surf KZbin and check out all of the review comments. Amsoil IS the REAL (and ONLY) McCoy - especially for motorcycles!!!

I ride a shaft driven Kawasaki Vulcan 750 that uses 10W40 oil. Thinking of switching to Amsoil. But one thing concerns me. And that's the sentence that reads "not recommended where an API GL-4 or GL-5 gear oil is required". Does this mean Amsoil would be no good in my bike? My bike is also liquid cooled. I know the crankcase is different from the drive shaft but that one sentence causes me some concern about using Amsoil. I've heard some really great things about Amsoil and would like to start using it in my bike. If I can. Thanks

+steven j AMSOIL 10W-40 Motorcycle Oil (Product Code MCF) would be a great oil for your bike's engine/transmission. You would need to check your owner's manual for the correct lubricant for the Final Drive. The drive shaft itself usually just has some grease on the splines that go into the front and rear ends.

Most definitely will. Going to start using Amsoil in my car as well. I have an Amsoil dealer near me that I can get in contact with. He's retired military and I believe he's what Amsoil calls a jobber/ representative. Anyway I know he sells Amsoil products. Thanks again

steven j While you are free to purchase AMSOIL products from any authorized Dealer or Retail Account, I'd appreciate you business. All of us Dealers/Direct Jobbers are independent, and I've spent a good amount of time, energy, and money to produce these videos and I pride myself in answering questions in a timely manner. The Dealer near you had plenty of chances to earn your business, but he didn't make the effort - I did. Please visit my website (www.best-synthetic-oils.com) and click on the blue "Two Ways to Save" banner in the middle of the home page. As your servicing AMSOIL Dealer, I'm always available to you.
