Amsterdam is wonderful, but to see Holland, you also need to see the less touristy cities. Haarlem, Lyden, Der Hague, Zanderzee, Rotterdam, and so many more. Our daughter and family have lived there for years (Haarlem) it's an amazing country. We visit every year for at least a month. Just the blending of traffic systems for rail, bus, tram, bikes (of course) and pedestrians is stunning. Add in the pathways for the blind, built into it are so unique.
