You should also visit the maritime museum which is the zero point of the early history of the city of Jakarta. If you like beach or sea tourism, come to Pulau Seribu, there are many groups of beautiful islands with amazing sea tourism which are still part of Jakarta

Very nice place for a visit. Agree would never have thought that was in Jakarta but then I've seen something highly impressive in New Delhi called Aero City where they created a superb up market 'city' that would be grandeur in any of the biggest world cities, close to their International Airport inclusive of all the big name hotel chains that amazed me and surely could not be there in India. Recently there have been efforts to revitalised the area, the newest ones were the area near Jakarta Kota station, roads were closed and turn to pedestrian area. In the future there will be mrt there. Similarly the plan to create polders dykes and pumphouses have been completed over the last years to mitigate the flooding. Might be more similar to many dutch cities in the future.

In my opinion, every traveler or tourist come to Jakarta should visit Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). TMII is a show case the richness of Indonesian culture from Aceh to Papua. They can learn about every provinces and ethnic in real size traditional houses from all area in the country.

Bener, soalnya kalau orang eropa main ke kota tua apa spesialnya... kota di eropa sana, yang bergaya bangunan tua ga terhitung lagi, bagus bagus lagi... jadi kaya ga istimewa, mending ke TMII atau yang memperlihatkan budaya indonesia. If you ever have the time to travel to Sulawesi, especially Makassar, you can visit the Rotterdam Fort, one of the famous tourist spots that used to be a defensive fort from the colonial era under the VOC.

You should try different approach or step to know about Jakart, do not take a mainstream way like the other youtubers from west, you can go to the southern side Jakarta such as Kemang for bar hoping or island hoping to Seribu Island in north of Jakarta, play paddle board in white sandy beach Pulau Pari or Pulau Macan or in other islands there, exploring night city view of modern Jakarta in Central Jakarta, Jakarta Golden Triangle CBD ( Thamrin - Soedirman - Casablanca/Gatot Soebroto Avenue), try afresco dining in rooftoop Skye BCA Tower or Hemshin Westin Hotel Jakarta to see all Jakarta from the top floor Jakarta Skyscrapers
