I live in a country where only approximately 35% of the population are vaccinated, I do not see bodies lying in the street and big scale disease as one might expect from a global pandemic. (Although I too have been affected by family members/colleagues dying and contracting long-covid). And further more ... we are accustomed to violent and destructive protests in my country, it is refreshing to see people placing flowers on the police vans instead of throwing rocks at and torching them.
