This video is great! We've been to Amsterdam I-don't-know-how-many-times and somehow still haven't been to the cat museum, so thank you for that, along with all other off-the-beaten-path places. Also - really enjoyed the editing in this. It's not like your first videos were rubbish (they so are not!) but the storytelling through how you edit is just getting stronger all the time. 👏👏🤩

Holy cow. Did not expect that you guys would be lodging at a Lightship, even less so the one where I lived for 5 years. Glad to see you guys had a great time in the north of amsterdam, and hope your stay in the netherlands will be as pleasant as ever

This is spectacular, I absolutely love it. It is like you get transferred to somewhere completely different, and it is just excellent and so relaxing to witness. I would almost say a perfect way to spend after a long and stressful day at work, you get entirely sucked into the beauty and present moment. Thank you for creating this and sharing it with us :)

I loved this video (as I did many of the previous ones). What a unique tiny house location (again), and I MUST go and see this cat-museum with my 2 daughters!

Since you seem to be staying in Rotterdam. You can have dinner or lunch in the center of Rotterdam at almost the same ship.. its called Vessel 11 and the kitchen is British.. I can very much recommend the beef wellington or the fish and chips.

I was born in Noord, back in those days Noord was for the people and when you crossed het IJ that's where all the tourists and the high society was. A lot has changed though over the years.

Calpis tastes a little like Yakult, sour and milky. My childen are fond of it. You got Calpis soda but also Calpis without bubbles. Just like lemonade syrup, you can buy it concentrated and dilute it with water.

14:47 I would like to recommend visiting Maassluis. It is a quaint little town, located halfway along the metro line that runs from Rotterdam to Hoek van Holland. The town is best know for its harbour filled with old tug boats, with the 1916 steam tug boat "Furie" as its top attraction. The Netherlands' "Sleepvaartmuseum" (Tug boat Museum) is located right at the quay, in the former Town Hall of Maassluis, which is a building that dates back to 1676.

In the summer its nice to go to the East Side of the Netherlands the province Drenthe is where Im from ( the country side) no mountains, still flat" 😂 but the nature is wonderful. There are many places to go hiking,. Small villages to visit. Its absolutely nothing to compare with big cities, if you need a break from all the noise and many people' this is an option😌

3:54 The English subtitles 🤭But no, I don't know what that tastes like 😅 My favorite thing to do in Amsterdam is to rent a small electric boat that you can drive yourself without a license, and tour the canals and surrounding waters (Amstel and Oosterdok). The city looks even more beautiful from the water and it is super relaxing! But it should be a warm summery day🌞A far different world from touring the canals in one of those large commercial 'canal cruise' boats. Oh well, those are for tourists anyway 😉

Even the Dutch don’t eat only Dutch food, most of us like the diversity of foods. 😊 The touristy thing I like to do in Rotterdam is visit the Euromast in Rotterdam and take boat tour around the harbor of Rotterdam. In Vlaardingen there is just one museum, about fishery…. So yeah…. Since Rotterdam and Delft or The Hague are close I usually go there.

You know you're 'cat people' when you go to the cat art museum, but wind up just filming all the live cats! Completely charming video as always and that was wise to review Amsterdam 'your way.'

My hometown Schiedam (Rotterdam is our neighbour) is famous for the highest traditional windmills in the world and a distilled spirit called 'jenever', so you might like check them out if you want (windmills-day is celebrated in May, the 'Brandersfeesten' celebrate the jenever history in September). Do a canal-tour with theelectric 'fluisterboot' and the public library is also worth a visit (in a historical building)...

In Zundert you’ll need to see (and participate) in the Dahlia Corso every first Sunday of September. It’s the biggest flower parade in the world. #CorsoZundert You might visit the day or week before (as suggested you’re welcome to participate in the build putting nails in Dahlias ware old clothes because dahlias stains or putting flowers on the floats you can even pick the flowers and take some home) and go to the birth ground of Vincent Van Gogh however due to construction of scaffolding for the public you’ll experience more traffic and workers. You also can make a tour with or without a guide or a bike route. There probably will not be any thing of his paintings because he left at eight years old to school. Or you’ll bike from the one building plot to the other nineteen were they built the flower floats from may till September.

Are u allowed guests to visit in the lightship? Is there a reception area ? Any steps to carry a 23kg check in bag? Love this video. So interested to stay here. Please reply if u can clear my doubts! Thank u in advance 💓
@buncharted Жыл бұрын
i'm not sure about guests! there is not a reception area. there are only two units in the lightship so it's self check-in. and yeah, there are some steps to get down into the units. it's about the equivalent of one flight of stairs.

You say 'proost' with the English double 'O' like in look. Actually the double 'O' in Dutch is pronounced like 'oa' in load. The English double 'O' sound is written in Dutch with 'OE'. Written in Dutch koe, speaking phonetically koo, meaning cow.
