After watching this, I think I like Rotterdam more. I've been to Amsterdam as a teenager, and the only thing I can remember is the Rijksmuseum. I've watched the miniaturist, so I'll never look at the canals as beautiful anymore. Thank you for highlighting the port of Rotterdam. I will definitely visit it someday. The international cuisines and the lower number of tourists are also interesting. I found this video very helpful.

I was always drawn to the futuristic part of a city and after visiting them both, I can say that Rotterdam is where my heart is. Also, Amsterdam tends to be REALLY crowded in the summer, something I didn't experience in Rotterdam.

I totally get what you mean! Rotterdam has such a unique vibe with its modern architecture, and it’s nice to escape the crowds sometimes.

I guess you haven’t been in the business district in Amsterdam. Modern, new buildings, financial district where the money is made. Show please. ❤

Thanks for the comment! I'll make sure to showcase the Zuidas business district in Amsterdam next time-it's filled with modern architecture and where the financial action happens. ❤

I'm from NZ, and I plan on moving to Amsterdam one day. It's the best city for me as a trans woman and artist.

I don’t like port. 😂

Thanks for sharing your opinion! Rotterdam's port is a significant part of its identity, but there's plenty more to explore in the city too. 😄

I mean the drink Port, but also not the harbor/ships/containers with shit from China, trucks polluting and the giant wear houses. Owners of these companies are also foreign. Chinese, Scandinavian, American.

@@life__explorers I really can’t think of anything so special about Rotterdam. Really. One or two buildings. The rest looks like Eurodisney.

@@on-the-pitch-p3w Amsterdam is more disney, everywhere stores catered to tourists, and the city trashed at the end of the day, waiting for the next day.

You do you realise that Amsterdam has a significant container port as well?
