Anton Bruckner - Adagio (from String Quintet in F Major) | Amsterdam Sinfonietta

It was not until 1879, at the age of 55, that Bruckner delivered his first chamber music work, a string quintet. With this string quintet he wrote a kind of miniature symphony. It is one of the longest string quintets. Because of its transcendent tone, the heavenly Adagio from this has been compared to the slow movements that Beethoven wrote in his last string quartets.
