My experience with the 901 was terrible, the bleed over from other channels was horendous, my friend had the same experience, Binatones the same. It was my first step into CB radio in the late 80 early 90s. I soon learned that there was bigger and better radios with the uniden boards in them which i stuck to, the presidents. My last one was a president Grant, great bit of modded kit for sure. At that time because of sun spot activity i was getting to the middle east no problems on a silver rod and thunderpole. Good times, when QSL cards were a thing, not like now where its all digitised. Good to see people still have these as a collectable.

@@darkstate5324 Thanks for your comment, it is appreciated. Nice to have people on the channel who have experience from back in the 80’s. I was a teenager in the 80’s so didn’t have any real experience in CB’s at the time. But, now I have the opportunity to play and use these fantastic radios. All the radios I buy are fully useable and are used regular. Still busy on the CB channels so loads of QSO to be had. Best 73’s!
