Longplay and review for "Toki" on the Amstrad CPC! (aka "Toki GGP")
"Toki" is a classic coin-op that was converted to many systems in the early 90's, the Amstrad version (for the GX4000 no less!) was planned but even after being fairly advanced in development was sadly canned. Now over 30 years later the "Amstrad GGP" team have saved us with their amazing un-official conversion done in their own unique style!!
In this video not only are we going to longplay the game but I'm going to show you how to max out your score by getting over 2 million points (2,153,070 exactly!! - because the GGP team are running a high score competition on their website), this will involve some scummy scoring tactics so during the parts of the video where that happens we'll take a look at the coin-op original and the other conversions of the game!

It seems there is a specific french love of this game. This is probably because the game was very popular here, due to the great adaptation on the Amiga and the ST by Ocean France. The 2018 remake version was also made by a french team, as this CPC version.

The 6128 Plus Ghosts N' Goblins is very nearly done. Sadly the Wonderboy remake has been put on hiatus but the coder hopes to return to it at a later date :)

Yes well done and credit to Vincent he did the first video of that 🙂Although to be fair I had seen and done this prior to his video, and I do it a slightly different way that doesn't involve jumping back and forth. But GG he got the first incredible record! He deserves a huge amount of credit and respect, well played Vincent!

@@Xyphoe Yes Vincent show me , he find a spot for not jump after. You play on original hardware? Personnaly I play with stock 6128 and Gotek and a Gx4000 paddle and Vincent on stock Amstrad 6128+ and move with the keyboard! And you?

"Gland" has 2 meanings : oak acorn and glans. In French, calling someone "gros gland" is an insult : that means stupid and clumsy.

Oh right, I asked some French people on the Amstream (live stream) and they translated to English as meaning either 'big balls' or 'big bellend' ... so... I'm not so sure now!! 😱😂

That one works too, but since the logo of GGP is an oak acorn my interpretation works better :P
