amstrad games top 20

My fav top 20 amstrad games from years gone by.Have tried not to stick any Plus machine titles in but i think 1 crept in.
Will probably review them all in time and do another video of the ones that didnt make it to the top 20- was so hard putting so many in and missing so many out.
These are just my favourites so watch and enjoy - many more to come and on different formats to.

Awesome nostalgia. Cybernoid, Barbarian 1 and 2, Fairlight, Heavy On The Magik, Operation Wolf, Ghosts'n'Goblins, Space Harrier, Alien Highway, Dizzy, Robocop, Thanatos, Kane, R-type, Gauntlet, Spikey Harold, Super Robin Hood, Stryder, Commando and Death Wish (!). I miss my CPC 6128.

Insteresting.. While every gamer would make a different list, yours is particularly different from mine. Just a question though: I thought many Spanish games made for 8-bit computers found their way into other markets, how come you didn't include a single one in your list (e.g. "Freddy Hardest", "Game Over", "Phantis", "Livingstone, I pressume?"...)?. Didn't you like them as much, or did you simply not get to play any of them?

You don't even need to replace Prehistorik 2... Prehistorik 2 was released on CPC with a trick to enhance the graphics when played on Plus machines but run on "CPC mode" on standard CPC machines.

Prince of Persia is in lowres, 160x200 in 16 colours. Thats how mode 0 looks on the Amstrad CPC

Amstrad looks better than the BBC Micro, BBC Master and ZX Spectrum but a bit graphically better than the 1983 Famicom/NES. God bless, Proverbs 31

thanks for the nostalgia trip for it's time it was a brilliant machine and actually had stereo sound / 26 colours compared to the c64's 16 but unfortunately for the most part it lacked the chip to do parallax scrolling which was all the rage back then. There were also far too many Z X Spectrum ports which usually meant the C64 versions were better for most arcade games at the time. There are some standouts though i loved Ikari Warriors and the amstrad version was awesome.
