Looking good. Hand brake pulls out from under the dash above the foot brake and clutch pedal.

Thanks for the info there Ron, being from the other side of the pond, its hard to know how American cars work as we don't really see them over here

Thanks Tom, much better than MPC kits, but not as good as Tamiya or Revell kits.

As far as the emergency/ parking brake goes on American vehicles from the 1950s on into the 1980s it was a foot brake that was up under the far left of the dashboard. When you set the brake there was a release handle just above the the foot brake that you would pull to release the brake. Hope that helps. Keep on modelin.

Spoke to the man who designs and develops the new line of 2001 space odyssey model kits, for Moebius and other companies. I met him at the IPMS model show this weekend. He made mention that these production kits "Must" be ready to go in a six month timeframe. In my opinion; that is a very short period of time to produce an idea, plan production, execute development and so on and so forth. Just thought I'd pass that along to you for your amusement ...

Thanks Greg that does explain a lot.

Unfortunately, back in the time that the kit was originally produced, it was normal for AMT to have a solid metal axle running through the engine block. Their kits at that time were also on par with MPC in terms of fit as well.

Yeah seems as though they couldn't be bothered with updating the tooling which is a shame.
