I have the .45 model. I have been looking for a trigger return spring for some time. I will try the sites you kindly offered here. Thanks for making this video!

Nice video. Very helpful. I just picked up a DA 9mm. Looks like it hasn't been touched in years.

Very useful video. It should be noted that original production large frame backups used a larger .088 firing pin tip. Subsequent large frame backups with a firing pin safety block used a smaller .060 tip firing pin.

I have the .45 version, and it didn’t take me very long to figure out that the parts for these bad boys are EXTREMELY SCARCE 😭 I can imagine that stuff for the 9mm is even harder to find

The trigger pull is so damn heavy! What do I do?
@ajcj19704 жыл бұрын
Wish I could answer that. I don’t think there’s much you can do, except for maybe polishing the contact points in the trigger mechanism, which would most likely only make a minimal change. No one makes trigger springs kits (that I know of). Any parts for this firearm are scarce, especially the 9 mm. If your pistol functions, I’d just focus on not dry firing it, so you have the best chance not to need replacement parts in the future.

@@ajcj1970 What is dry firing?
@ajcj19704 жыл бұрын
Dry firing is dropping the hammer on a empty chamber. I believe this was the issue that caused my firing pin to break. Since this pistol doesn’t have a last round hold open for the slide, it’s very easy to keep pulling the trigger after your magazine is empty. Try not to do that.

@@ajcj1970 Anything you recommend I oil my gun with? I've shot almost 50 rounds in it so far

I personally use CLP, but there are many good cleaning/lubricant products. You can find many videos on KZbin about firearm related cleaning/lubricant products, watch a few, different people have different opinions.
