My brother ditched his Bogner Uberschall guitar amp and uses an AMT pedal. When he's on tour, whether its North America or Europe - the back line doesn't matter. As long has he has his AMT pedal (I forget which model) he says its the exact same sound. He get's a lot of compliments and when he plays locally, he uses an Ampeg solid state guitar head (there was a model that was made by Michael Soldano before he started his own company) that has been a quasi underground sought after head. Anyway, that had nothing to do with bass guitar but I found Rodney's video very interesting as I myself am really not familiar with AMT & what they offer. Certainly did not know they made amps. Great video - cheers!

AMT Definitely flies under the radar more than they should. Great gear.

@@RodneyMcG My brother texted me yesterday when I asked which specific AMT he had, which is the B1. He said that the pedal is at least 90-95% of the $4000 Bogner head. Thanks to your review on the units you demo'd I've been on their site studying their different models 👍.

I'm glad you're doing the Russian Alembic pedal. I always wanted to hear one.

As soon as you mentioned it I thought about it and realized that Poweramp is like transformers energon when they would combine. That o bass is one of the better sounds I've heard on your channel, it's up there with the Steve Harris di pedal. I like it it's warm and a little muddy but that's a good thing.

Exactly!

@@RodneyMcG everyone these days is so worried about how clear their bass is that all i actually notice from bass guitar in a modern production is clank and cut, I miss how old albums like symbolic by death where the bass was very audible or like how bolt throwers bass was distorted and nasty but they had the bass very audible and there was deep perceivable lows. I think that orange brick is a good flavor to get people to remember it's not always all about the clank to the point where the lows and lower mids aren't as audible by comparison
@RodneyMcG3 жыл бұрын
I'll take both ;)

Do you think you'd get an Alembic sounds from something like a Tech 21 Bass Driver? Being that the Alembic is designed to be quite clean anyway?
@RodneyMcG2 жыл бұрын
Not really. I'd go for something designed to do that specifically.

How did it “Feel?” Did the sound feel great through that power amp?
@RodneyMcG2 жыл бұрын
Not sure how to quantify that. It sounded and played fine and how I would expect.
