Very nice paint job on the cab. The way you highlighted the grill with black really adds a lot or realism. I would say your first semi truck build has been a big success. Best regards.

Those cab hinges are a pain. Sometimes you can use metal rod to make a pivot point. Got my last Volvo cab over working perfectly. Then realized it wouldn't tilt because of bumper & Bull Bar 🐀

Watching your videos of this build you have done a great job of building the truck so far. I must agree with you that choosing the Sapphire Blue was a great chose. Sometimes when building models you have to skip a step to get the build done correctly. But I would like to suggest you watch a video done by Right -On-Replicas. He is very good at pointing out areas that you will have fit issues, what he does to correct it, so forth. He has done this model already so there is a guide for you to use. I also noticed in your update before this one you had found the correct part for the top pulley on the engine. But in this review that is missing. Don’t for get about that, and the holes needed for the windshield wipers.
@Toppervision14 жыл бұрын
You have a really good eye for detail. Correct, I had forgotten to glue the air conditioner pump in, but it's in now. The windshield wipers are not on yet because they look terrible and will require a lot of work before I put them on. Yes, I will head over to Right On Replicas to see how on earth to attach the exhaust, because the instructions are vague. I thoughed I was already subbed over there but I guess not. Thanks for your comment.

There should be holes for the pins on your pivots to go into. Or , at least some marks on the cab where they go. I doubt they go on those radiator pins.
@Toppervision14 жыл бұрын
Oh yea, there are holes on the chassis, it's the other side that's the mystery.
@charlie4187914 жыл бұрын
I'm not talking about the chassis. I'm talking about on either side of the radiator.

@@charlie418791 Yea, Kenny sent me a pic of his. There are supposed to be holes on the cab, but there aren't. Bizarre. Where did the holes go?

I'm gonna do the dual exhaust. The instructions are vague on it, but there's really only one way it can go together.
@paulsmessybenchmodels26024 жыл бұрын
Hi there, great looking work so far. I just started the AMT GMC Astro and it looks like pretty much the same plastic as the Chevy Titan. I've taken a different approach and mocked-up a lot of stuff before painting. I don't know if you have fit your cab yet but if look at my video you can see where the hinge pins go. (start at about 4:25 if you don't want to watch the whole thing) You might need to modify the support brackets for the rear of the cab so that it doesn't sit too high. (05:00) I don't know if your kit has the same exhaust and fuel tanks, but if it does I found that the single exhaust and right-side fuel tank interfere with each other. (07:15). kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHK0poSjhNKZm8U Your rig is looking cool so far hope to see it done sometime!
@Toppervision14 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info. Yes, it looks like I'll have to file down the cab supports. I'm gonna go with the dual exhaust. Just subbed ya btw. :)
