Amtrak 281’s return for 2022 04/09/22

On April 9th Amtrak 281 would make its first run of the year. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to stay long at Old Sacramento but, if 281 continues to run for the next weekend excursions, you can expect a lot more videos on it. Thank you for watching and have a good day.

Sweet. Got to Sacramento a couple years ago for the narrow gauge convention, walked all over old town there. Love it, I have subbed. I run an n scale layout of the SP south of Portland, set primarily in the 90s, but PA powered Daylights often make an appearance.

in my opinion, f40phr 281 should have a brand new coat of paint it's old paint work is becoming rusty

Yes indeed, a fresh coat of Phase 5 paint, and have the number boards painted blue.
