This reminds me...there's an Amtrak station 2 towns west of where I live...I could go by train to Penn Station, take the subway to Grand Central and walk to my favorite hotel from there.

My family and i did this also, but we were going to Connecticut for vacation. That was the first train that I have been on that wasn't delayed.

@ryanb273 It was. The Northbound SilverStar has the Viewliners and Heritage Diner on the front whereas the Southbound Silver Star has them on the rear.
