Amtrak Auto Train Shunting at Lorton

While waiting to board my Auto Train to Sanford, I did what any reasonable railfan would do and record as much switching action as I could at the Lorton terminal before boarding. Also included is a quick clip at the Sanford terminal at the end since it's the only footage I was able to get there before disembarking and getting my car.

That P32-8 sounds so cool!! It's interesting how you can hear the HEP generator whining at different RPMs as it throttles up

I'll never stop being surprised that just two P40DC's have enough tractive effort between them to haul an Auto Train. I seriously thought that it'd take at least three, just like with the ol' New River Train in West Virginia, but nope.

12:09 an e bell on the dash 8. This is something that I usually don’t see on an Amtrak dash 8.
