Amtrak Keystone Cab Car Operations Glimpse

Hello everybody, today I take a very special trip aboard Amtrak keystone train from Philadelphia, PA to Princeton Junction, NJ. After a long day out railfanning and hopping around Eastern PA I hopped on this keystone just to take back home. Not Realizing An Engineer that im very familiar with was running it. He let me film parts of the run, although I didn't want to bug him the entire time. Real great operations by this guy I must say. Im sure everyone will appreciate a little peak inside the cab.

Haha, yeah with the help of some engineers ik I've been able to kinda study the (NYP Mainline). PHL-NYP, ik mostly everything. I'm rn trying to memorize NORAC signal indications atm.

I don’t suppose you know exactly which metroliner cab cars have not had their front diaphragms removed? Iirc most have had the mod but I don’t get why it was done?

Cab rides are fun but the engineer may have to give you permission to tour the front of the train

excuse me sir where did you buy the ticket? Iv'e been wanting to ride amtrak for a while but i can't really seem to know where you buy the tickets. Are they online or in person, if so then how is the boarding process? Thank you and i appreciate it.

You can buy it on the Amtrak app or at an Amtrak kiosk at select amtrak stations.
