Last year we went from Kingman, Arizona to Albuquerque, New Mexico on Amtrak and all of the crew were very friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work!

Thank you ! It’s nice to see people who love their job and want to make others feel special ! Thank you for watching this video of mine. I can’t remember but I think it was on Mother’s Day that I filmed this. Have a great weekend and Holliday Season :-))

That conductor was so helpful with people’s bags. Bless him. It’s not easy to board those trains that aren’t level with the station.

He was helpful more than the other conductors I’ve seen. I was just on one of Amtrak’s trains and I only saw him once when he told me where to find my seat as I was boarding. Thank you for watching my video, I hope your weekend is a good one and the rest of your summer. Take care and enjoy :-))

I have friends who have visited Europe and they said, "I never saw the conductors help people". The typical European way of life. Thanks AmTrak!

That is so unfortunate, I see this happen all the time. I took a train to and from Charlotte, NC and they all helped me. I brought a cane with me and even the other passengers helped me get my bags out of the compartments. One conductor carried one of my bags inside the station. This was filmed before Covid. Thank you for watching my video, have a great weekend :-))

Prince Cash mere, this was on Mother’s Day, I was surprised of how many Amtrak trains stopped at Alexandria’s Union Station. This conductor was top notch, did his job well, like you said “professional “. Thank you for watching my video :-))

I miss riding the #94 soooo much! Conductor was awesome. People saying goodbye need to let people board and wave as train pulls off. #94 all the way to the Mason Dixon Line,Sunset Limited,Lake Shore Limited,City of New Orleans, Zephyr and Pacific Surfliner are my favorite trains. Great people of Amtrak and my Red Caps❤❤❤❤❤❤

Most of the conductors are extremely nice, once in a while you will find someone that must have awaken on the wrong side of bed, LOL ! Thanks for watching this video of mine. This was before I could edit my work except for shortening it. I’ll need to go back to the Alexandria station again sometime soon. I’m happy you liked watching my video :-))

They're not even usually or consistently "that good" HERE...don't be fooled, one stop later and they let a frail, grey-haired lone female struggle ALONE...often!

This was one of my first videos I think, it may have been Mother’s Day up in Alexandria, Virginia. This is one of the oldest stations in northern Virginia. I think this is one of my most watched vids. When I’m at a station now I try not to show the travelers, sometimes you can’t delete them out completely. I have another vid of a conductor asking me questions about the tracks they were on. I think I may have surprised him a little with my answers, lol. Thank you very much for watching this old vid of mine, I’m happy you enjoyed it :-))

thatguy263 so you must have come thru Alexandria, did you take the train back ? This was such a busy day for Amtrak, I caught so many trains. I can’t wait for the warm weather to come back. Thanks for watching, I hope you liked my vid :-))

Kathy, yes I took the 83 Northeast Regional from Baltimore back to Newport News the next day. As a matter of fact, that was the same day that that pedestrian was hit by the 90 Palmetto near Lorton. Our train was held at Alexandria until CSX gave us clearance to proceed.
@kgirl40786 жыл бұрын
thatguy263 I should remember that but for some reason it’s not coming to me about someone being hit close by except just recently. Wow I hope you got back on time or close to it. Thanks for commenting and your support ! I love filming at the Alexandria Union Station :-))

Hey Kathy, I finally got back to Newport News at 2 am the next morning. Fortunately, I had already arranged with a buddy of mine to pick me up at the NN station and he was kind enough to do that even at that late hour. By the way, keep these videos coming! :)

Thank you for watching my video ! Sometimes you will find an exceptional conductor on these trains, as a matter of fact, I just was editing a video of another Amtrak conductor that was very helpful to his passengers boarding. When I took a train a few years ago I had some very nice conductors, but then again after a crew change I got one that was not as nice. I guess he must have had a bad day. Thanks for watching this video, I appreciate it and I'm glad you liked it :-))

@kgirl40785 жыл бұрын
I enjoy watching that too ! I was on an Amtrak train 4 years ago and I was on the wrong side to catch the train, the conductor opened up the door and told me to come around the back of the train and get on the last car. He was very nice and I had him for a good distance. Another conductor came on duty and he wasn’t as nice. Thanks for watching my video, I’m happy you liked it :-))

Very Nice video,Kathy. 5 months ago,I went to San-Antonio TX to visit my son and when the train would stop,I'd get off and take pics and videos,that made the "Amslack employees very angry. They would say,"I don't give my consent to be filmed" I told them,your in the wrong business then,because you work public transportation,lol. Not much on Amtrack riding! From your videos I believe you live in Va. ? I lived in VA. many years down in the Tide Water area. Thanks for sharing!

High Rail-62 two years ago I went from Va. where I live down to Charlotte NC. I didn’t get off the train but took pics the whole trip down and when I came back too. My iPad only told me where I was for only the first picture, all the stops and in between said Quantico, Va. so I have hundreds of pics that have the wrong locations on them. That didn’t help me so those pics are sitting on my iPad still. The only pics I know where I was at was because I caught the name on the stations. Where did you live here in Va.? Thank you for watching my vid and thanks for subbing back to me ! Thank you also for your comments !

Ah this was mothers day 3 years ago, so I don't remember it so much, I do remember it was extremely busy, one train after another. I believe this may have been one of my first times filming here at the station in Old Town Alexandria. I used to live 10 minutes from the station, now I live about 30-45 minutes away in non-rush hour. I guess everyone was so busy trying to get on the train fast and to get started that no one thought about waving. Thank you for watching my video, I appreciate it very much :-))
