Yes being homeless sucks. I've been living on wheels for over 4 years now. As soon as you upload a cheap land or cheap rent video I'm on it! Haven't found anything yet but I won't give up. My brother is going to retire near the Tahoe side of NV. I'm going to try and find near there. I rode Amtrak from WA state to Baltimore to attend his retirement ceremony. I couldn't afford a room but it was still the best trip ever! Keep em coming Briggs! Thank you for your service and thank you for continuing to serve! ❤️

Excellent Video Briggs!!! I want to go on an Amtrak now, I have to agree with you that when it comes to seeing nature and the outdoor beauty you definitely get to see more on the ground then opposed to on a plane.Keep up the great work Briggs.

Portland isn't as expensive as California I originally was attempting to move to San Francisco but I'm glad I settled in Portland. I'm trying to be a Boxer and this is the best city for me to afford the gyms and training I need to start. Money has always been my issue and I don't have parents

Love all your videos! Take the Southwest chief if you have the chance. You’ll pass by the “Gettysburg of the West” wonderful scenery of America

I heard the break in Klamath falls was tricky and that sometimes the departing trains are canceled with no explanation

Do you know if this train boards in Palm Springs? Or would we have to go to LA?

Before I moved to Portland in 1992 I drove up and left my car and took the Starlight back to Los Angeles. It was so awesome. I had a sleeper berth and so I was very comfortable.

What time of year did you do this train ride?
@aribasmajian183 жыл бұрын
Good video Briggs if you're ever in the San Luis valley in Colorado take the cumbers toltech railway from antonito colorado to Chama new Mexico or from Chama new Mexico to antonito and stop in oiser station for lunch oiser is in Colorado what a pretty place in the Rio Grande national forest. I'm not sure if it's running now due to covid but if it is check it out it's worth it the train stops when the snow starts to fly. Chama is a cool mountain town in New Mexico you pass through both states like a dozen times.

@erichauck57473 жыл бұрын
A person can take an Amtrak bus from Union Station to Bakersfield then transfer on to an Amtrak train that will take you up north all the way to Sparks Nevada for around 50 bucks. The furthest I went up north on an Amtrak train was Modesto Cali.

There is another Amtrak train called the San Joaquin that goes near Yosemite and the Sequoia National Parks.

It used to be good. Now it sucks. They had a diner car up until a year or so ago. Now it is just used to microwave frozen garbage.
