FLYING STANDBY | United Airlines 737-900ER Denver to Chicago

Thanks to multiple airlines now waiving change fees (with some exceptions to the rule), passengers can more easily switch flights without much hassle. Because of my delayed arrival in Denver, I missed my outbound flight by a matter of minutes. Thankfully, I had planned ahead and had switched my flight from DEN-ORD easily thanks to United's app and the no change fee rule. This flight on the 737-900ER was very empty which was a relief if it had been full, I would have definitely been in Denver for much longer.
What a cool experience it also was departing from the longest public runway in North America: Denver's RWY 34L/16R!

Beautiful sunset at pushback and just a hint of light during your taxi to the 16K runway! Landing after midnight at ORD, were you fatigued with your one day jaunt? Keep in mind you still have to deal with making your way to Union Station and Amtrak!

Great video! I flew to Denver on that day as well! Took UA2426 out of ORD early in the morning, so I missed out on all the fun regarding delays. It wasn’t as simple on the return flight, though-UA1898 on the 13th. It was on a 753 that ended up needing maintenance work done because of a broken autopilot light spotted during boarding, requiring us to disembark the aircraft. While I could’ve easily changed over to another flight, my curiosity got the best of me concerning how they’d deal with the situation. With about a six hour delay, we arrived at ORD right at 02:30 the following day!

"quite frequently" is not a term that should be used here. They're every 2-4 minutes during peak times which is note enough when you can't walk between terminals.

HMMM??? I wound up paying 25 bucks to change my flight from 1898 which was to leave at 5:40 PM to 1484 which left at 3:40 PM. United 757-300 flying pencil from DEN to ORD. Not one empty seat on the plane either. I did upgrade my seat from 41A to 32A which I am glad I did because I got better leg room. Cost 23 bucks extra but it was worth it.
