Any way you can make one for GOTG Cosmic Rewind? I would totally buy one! Also can you make a video taking us through the process of designing one. I would love to know how you go about the graphics and pcb design. How much time goes into one board?
@AmusementLabs

@@avabeckley Sure, it's on the list. 🙂 When I started I didn't know a thing about designing pcbs (other than circuit design). In the beginning they use to take the boards use to take like a week each. Now I can get a simple one done in like 8-12 hours of constant work. The animated ones take much most time cause there's twice as many connections.

I've been on hundreds of coasters across the country and this ride is definitely in my top 3, even though it's not as fast or crazy as others, the effects, launches, length, and especially the drop just make it an amazingly fun ride for all. I was grinning the entire time riding it. I always wondered how it all works so thank you for the great behind the scenes video!

Your content is always something I look forward to when I see it on my feed & I just gotta glaze you up for a second dude. Your analysis is always so thorough. The bit @14:30 where you pointed out that the hill is a kinetic failsafe is something I would have never noticed much less expected to seen touched on in a YT video. Little ingenious tricks of the trade being utilized and showcased by someone who is enthusiastic about that tech's inner workings /its creative implementation is what sets you apart man. Anyone can explain, "magnetic fins go brrr and ride cars different magnets don't like that so it goes forward" but you bust out a model complete with coils and liquid cooling and explain the schematic behind the components generating the field. THIS is the theme park content I absolutely love and need more of. SO many people just go "it's kind of like a pepper's ghost effect" But no, you have a diagram explaining the layers to a musion installation. Never stop doing what you do man. I recommend you to every other theme-park tech nerd I know. Cheers and thanks for another insanely informative deep dive.

Even after all these years this ride still consistently has the longest wait times. Yes it’s very popular but they need to do something about it. Yes I understand that the ride is so complex and things are bound to happen. I just think of hulk and how they have that ride operation down to a science. A solution to this maybe informing all riders about the urgency of the moving platform and to make sure to keep up with the people in front and to know who you’re riding with. Maybe they could push the single rider line earlier in the line somewhere outside so when people go past that area it would become a constant moving line along with the platform. An issue I see with that is then the capacity since there’s only 10 trains they have used at a time and there would be gaps in between when the next train isn’t in the station yet to start Boarding the trains, maybe them moving the little switch back queue line to the middle-ish of the platform to allow constant boarding of 2 trains at once, since right now they only do one at a time, and a little stop in the line while the next train moves into position. Just an idea. Also they have a total of 12 trains that can run at a time but they haven’t been able to do all 12 only 10 like I said, so maybe if they improved operations they could get 12 trains going. But again this ride is super complicated so I doubt that would happen

Interesting to hear about...but even before you got to problems I was thinking "this moving time limit on and off sounds like a nightmare". One of the first coasters I was talked into riding I passed out and then woke up upside down with a panic attack trying to get out (fortunately you can't) but then couldn't figure out how to exit back at the station still in a major panic not able to think clearly. If there was a time limit that seems it could go badly if someone needs help.

Odd...it's never down when I go and I go all the time. Most times when its delayed its because of an issue loading/unloading and because of how the coaster is designed to work as shown in the video the entire coaster has to stop if delay at the load/unload bay is too long.

It really annoys me to STILL see broken effects on this ride. The show elements, are literally part of what makes it stand out. One that annoys me the most, is HOW can that blast ended Skrewt still not blasting? Surely a smoke effect is one of the easiest things to fix in a world of crazy technology like that fast switch track. I could let them borrow a £30 smoke machine of mine for the good of the show 😂 - It's just so disappointing, knowing that new guests who haven't experienced it before, aren't getting it in its fully glory, as it was intended to be. Factually a not as good experience as what it could, and should be. It's not like the ticket prices go down when many impressive elements of a ride slowly start to disappear and they don't take care of keeping on top of things. I just don't understand why they don't. If I was one of the designers/creators of these effects, I'd be so upset to think my work wasn't being looked after, and I'd want to be fully proud of the attraction at all times!
@1ronEntertainment
@1ronEntertainment 2 ай бұрын
I took back to back rides on it (less than 30 mins apart), and one time they were working, second time they weren’t. It just depends which train you get, since sometimes it doesn’t run on every cycle. It’s also worth noting that both universal and Disney have a very unique maintenance system. They rank each effect on the ride on a scale of 1-5. If the number of effects broken meets or exceeds 10 (in terms of their ranking), the ride will shut down and the effects will be fixed. If not, they are able to run the ride until the park closes, where they need to fix it. In most of my rides all of the effects seem to be working, especially compared to ROTR, Indiana Jones, etc etc

@@1ronEntertainment This is very interesting info! Thanks for this! I wish more of this kind of info was available as it's just so interesting. I have no idea for sure, but I feel like "back in the day" when I was a kid visiting these parks for the first time, (early 2000's) everything just used to WORK, all the time... every time. Especially on the Disney rides which were heavily reliant on good effects. I wonder if they used to care more about this stuff? I bet back in Walt's day, one broken effect would HAVE to be fixed!?

Rides like Indiana jones, Flight of Passage, ROTR, Jurassic Park, Ripsaw falls, and many more are in a very questionable state and it bugs the crap out of me as well.
