They were all there, considering it was a 4 season long anime, and most of the clips were very short parts, it would be easy to miss alot of it. But he also miss matched alot of the scenes to give them to impression that Stein was just bizarre which he did wonderfully.

A "Doppelgänger" is indeed a mythological creature, in german there's a similar term for a "look-alike", but generally when mentioned outside of Germany the mythical creature is ment. The creature "doppelgänger" has no translation, just like kindergarden, schadenfreude, zeitgeist... etc.

Yeah it is, a double or look-alike...same concept in Kurokami and loads of other animes. But the word comes from folklore so there is more to it then that, those animes just don't cover that side of it
