This ending makes me think of "Madoka Magica" along with "Kakegurui". Season 2's ending makes me think of "Evangelion".

Madoka walks towards her end not out of will, but out of duty. And when she realizes the full gravity, she tries to run from it out of instinct. Yumeko on the other hand is more than willing to walk her path, never to run away. She owns her path. She loves it. She'll gladly meet her end if it comes fair and square to her. But it's completely expected. Madoka is a Goddess. Yumeko however is a Devil. They are complete opposites. Hey, what kind of Magical Girl do you think Yumeko would be ? Assuming she asked for a wish, since might see it as cheating.
