Hey Mike last time i had to load a big air compressor tank into a dump trailer we strapped the other stuff in and tipped it up backed up to tank and then chained it to front of trailer so when we dropped the box it pivoted tank off the ground and we just had to push it rest of way in. I'm only a little guy so gotta use my brain cell not muscle cell lol. Glad you guys didnt get hurt

Once you had it on end should have tied doors back, unloaded or tied stuff down and raised dump to max and backed up to boiler, chained it to back rail with metal bars under legs then lowered the dump. Should do the lifting for you. I usually do things the way you did it though.

For future reference, when you had the stove sideways to the trailer, you should have raised the dump bed and laid the stove down then lowered the bed. Mechanical is always better than brute strength.

I’m currently at 31 residential, 8 smaller businesses and 1 eight house condo association. I have a guy that helps me when he’s off and takes 3/4 of my businesses but that’s rare.

With commercial clients, the contractor puts down extra salt/calcium for the simple fact of preventing slips and falls. Contractors are liable per some contracts.

The problem is that there is so many people that live in Minnesota and Wisconsin state that complain about the slippery icy conditions. If you don’t put a grip on it. You’ll be facing a lawsuit. I learn my lesson but again the customer pays for the salt so it’s not like we’re throwing it down for free.
