@KingInTheNorth Well when you take into account the show got randomly cancelled in the middle of filming season 6 and the fact jonah and Amy were endgame, they had to wrap up the storyline faster. IMO they managed to pull it off.

@KingInTheNorth Lol right, like it's even the same day according to the episode. I appreciate that they did a one month later thing timeskip and drop a line of him and the lawyer breaking up as no big deal because they were technically only together for a month or two, but it was still a fast wrap up.

My biggest gripe with the show is that they reconciled at all! Amy's actions were unpardonable! Jonah, as much as he had been simping for Amy, had been shown to have self-respect. No self-respecting person would take back somebody who acted as selfishly as Amy did. TBH, Amy's actions don't really agree with her characterisation as well! The show only did this to appease the fans... They should have drifted apart. A person like Amy deserves to live their entire life ONLY with the regret of letting go of a partner as honest, supportive and compassionate as Jonah. She simply doesn't deserve to be happy... EVER!

I love how real this feels, i get Amy's point of view, i mean, she was scared because all her past experiences with Adam and her job and everything being so new to her. And i get Jonah's perspective because he was totally in love with her for 6 years and she was always playing i want you but now i don't kind of thing ¿? I love how they didn't got together at the first try, Amy recognizes that she was wrong and Jonah had the pride and dignity to not run into her arms, i love how she goes talk to him and she says that she will wait for him as much as he waited for her and i think is absolutly adorable. Jonah took the chance and Amy finally got commit to their relationship

It makes me so happy how Jonah knew his worth and stood his ground the whole time. He made it clear at the breakup and the apology that he wouldn’t uproot his life for somebody who refused to commit, and he didn’t take her back they both knew she would. I also love how carefully chosen his words were the whole time, deliberately avoiding apologizing for setting that boundary of commitment while maintaining that she had the right not to, and you can almost hear him holding those thoughts back. They are my favorite TV couple, and I am so happy they got back together, but I love just how well they handled the breakup and reunion.

I definitely understand amy's side of things, I've seen people talk about her her reasons to not want to marry jonah before were flawed considering their development until then but her one other experiece with marriage was also rushed because of circumstance and it ended terribly, so despite her loving jonah i don't blame her for feeling scared and just saing no, and it's amazing that she acknowledges that she made a mistake when she comes back

On top of that while Jonah may have been genuine in wanting to marry her it wouldn't have been a thing if they weren't moving. You can't force that part of a relationship to happen sooner than it should. Amy wasn't ready to get married. Jonah wanted a when and she couldn't answer. It was honestly the most no one here is an actual bad guy, sometimes things just don't work out break up I've ever seen on TV.

I know the last episode she was ok but the second last episode was bad. I love this show but season 6 was messy and complicated with lots of time jumps. I understand it got cancelled half way thru but considering the fact that America was in 5/15 episodes this season she could have just stuck around would have made the finale better (Ik I’m saying this a year later but your the first person I have seen with a decent opinion)

this was so disappointing her reasoning still does not make sense they were living together raising kids together marriage would not change there life at all the only reason I can think of is that she was starting to consider ending things anyway and she only came back in the most extreme circumstances and it took jonah dating someone else her already moving back to the city anyway to confess her feelings and jonah said no for like an hour and then they just picked up right where they left off kind of wished they just let them stay friends there getting back together was not done well in my opinion
@whosaprettykitty5076
@whosaprettykitty5076 3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think people understand how big of a commitment marriage is. Her reasoning does make sense. She was married before and it was only because of the circumstances and what happened? It fell apart. Her and Jonah getting married because they loved together and he helped raise her kids would be them getting married out of circumstance. When Jonah said, “I’ll only move with you if you’re sure we’re gonna get married”, her agreeing would have been similar to her agreeing to marry Adam. Also, this was an opportunity of a life time. She had been working at cloud nine with a crappy position for so many years and was FINALLY moving up and doing something more. She loved Jonah, but the position she was in wasn’t an easy one. That doesn’t mean Jonah loved Amy more, it just means their circumstance and future planning at the moment, were different. Although, that doesn’t make Jonah’s anger unjustified. I just wish people stopped being so mad at Amy and judging her decision so harshly, instead of seeing how her life was vs how it became. I’ll admit, I was angry at Amy too, until I thought about it more and put myself into Amy’s shoes.

I like them as a couple and was glad they were endgame but I don't really understand why Amy had to apologise to Jonah as it's not at all fair to only blame her for the break up. Also, I get that it's a different situation as Jake and Amy didn't break up but I don't get why Jonah was allowed to get angry at Amy and even talked about 'trash talking' her but in Brooklyn 99, Amy could get away with being pretty harsh in Casecation with the 'start over' line. I think Superstore Amy felt guilty for hurting Jonah who we see hurting for most of S6, Jonah in turns acknowledged that she didn't have to apologize. I'm sure the break up was hard for Amy, but when you compare between the two Jonah got the short end of the stick. She got a promotion, what I assume is a huge pay raise, and moved to L.A.; while Jonah was left realizing he waisted 5 years chasing after Amy.

Yeah, I get that and I do like Amy Sosa and Jonah as characters and as a couple, it just annoyed me that people were hating on Amy Sosa. I just felt so bad for Jake as he really got quite shafted with often being portrayed as less intelligent, annoying or not really good at things and he was super loving, selfless and kind so I wanted a happier ending for him after everything that he'd given up and been through and Boyle's new partner and the coma trick really hit home how unfair it was, which is sad as I love B99 and Peraltiago owns my heart. I just wish that other sitcom women were met with the same kind of love that B99's Amy gets from fans as most other sitcom women get hate so I wanted better for Jake and most other sitcom women.
