My grandmother introduced me to both of these to Steve Green, Keith Green Michael W Smith, and I’ve never seen these to sing together before, but this is incredible. I have gone to Amy Grant concert in Michael B Smith concerts before, but above all of them Amy Grant is my absolute favorite and even to this day as a young adult I still have every album of Amy Grant still listen to her she will still have a special place in my home.

When Grant sings, "Your most awesome work was done in the frailty of Your Son...", her voice control is simply compelling. I don't think it's due to physical weakness as some comments suggest. Health above all else makes a big difference in the quality of one's voice and that can deteriorate with age quite sufficiently to reduce from what one could do in their 20's. "Besides, these 2 worried about a performance rather than worshiping your God." Well, when you get older and your health is not what it once was, and your voice is not what it once was; you have to take care and be concerned in order to give a quality performance. Giving a performance that is not your best does not glorify the Lord. I suspect that if they had not been concerned for the quality of the performance, you would be complaining about how miserable they sounded. You may want to check your perfectionist attitude before you post. I have to do that with most of my posts especially the knee jerk reaction ones. When I post a comment I quite often have to ask myself; Is that really what I want to say? The first drafts more often are not, than are.

@Rally Point Amy Grant has always been subpar. She just always had great songs. But perhaps at this point in Sandi’s life unknown singers would eat her alive. However, that wasn’t the case in her prime. I’ve followed Sandi’s career since 1983. She is one of the greatest vocalists to grace the planet. That is fact. Those of us who are classically trained vocalists are aware of how flawless her technique used to be. She is just much older in this clip and clearly no longer in her prime.

Amy not feeling well. And later she ended up having open-heart surgery, which gives you breathing problems. Just by chance did she go to the doctor--when she went with Vince Gill to his doctor. Thank God.

Looking back on the times I listened to both Sandi and Amy , wow what awesome memories. This nearly made me cry , I miss the old times . It sounds as though Amy is losing her luster a little. Almost like she was wheezing a bit, her lung capacity is faltering. This is a good duet , but I do believe that Sandi still has her power and range ... Amy seems “ stuck “ .

I don't know why people like you have to be so dismissive of true talent. Yes, this is not one of her better performances, I agree. But I don't judge her entire ministry on the basis of one less than stellar video. And, having conceded that, as bad as this performance is, we can still hear that rich, supported tone she is deservedly famous for.
