I have a small air popper. Very healthy. I like plain no butter or flavored popcorn. I like a mix of yellow and white kernels. I don't need to think, pour in a scoop, turn on & wait for it to shoot out. I tried the microwave glass jar a few times. I also had burned kernels. Gave it away because I like air popped better with no chance of burning & rarely have uncooked. I am actually eating air popped popcorn as I watch your video. Just made it. Air poppers are great! I just hold a towel around the exit to keep the corn from flying everywhere. Be sure to get one with an on/off switch. Some you have to unplug to turn off. You place the butter in the scoop & the heat melts it & then you pour it on the popped corn if you want butter.

I have the Lekue microwave popper from Amazon. It's awesome! It pops quickly and pops almost all kernels.

Try melting the butter in the pot first, and then add the popcorn to it to pop it. If you want the more “authentic” movie theater flavor use coconut oil in the pot, and then top it with Snappy Buttery Flavored Movie Salt once it’s done.

I was literally thinking about buying one of these last time I was at Walmart and wasn't sure so I didn't get it. Thank you for the video Amy. I enjoyed watching but don't think I will purchase one of these. I always had good luck with bagged corn.

I was given a small one as a gift and it makes the best one serving of popcorn! It tastes like I am at the movies with all the butter that melts from the top of the lid. I use pink Himalayan salt to season. Yum! Mine takes exactly 3 minutes to pop or else it will burn. Almost every kernel pops. I use my Whirly Popper when I need to pop enough for 2 or more. It works great too. 🍿

Hi Amy and Eric! You should pop the popcorn in one of your Dutch ovens!

First off, that one for sure wouldn't fit in my microwave 😅😅😅 I pop them in a very hot wok. Popcorn will not pop in the microwave without oil. I would coat them in a small amount of oil before popping, because when you cook it dry the kernel can burn and never pop. The wok method in use, I put a oil in the wok, and a few test kernels. Measure out my popcorn, usually 50 grams (because here it comes is 200 gramms sachets, the loose kernels, you can make less or less more) and I put it in high heat. If you put like 5 pieces in, and you heared them all pop, you can put the remaining kernels in and quickly put the lid back and shake. It's gonna pop quickly. Then you can transfer into a big bowl, and immediately season, so it sticks. If you want butter, melt it, add that first, stir, than stir in your seasonings. This sounds hard, but it's really not! ❤

I have had one of these for years. I don't do the butter on it. That seems to take longer. I melt the butter separately or use popcorn flavoring sprinkles 😊.

oh, this is funny! i had gotten a glass popcorn maker at a used stuff store, resale, thrift, whatever. i'd never SEEN one before! it's all glass. thought it was maybe vintage. anyway, didn't know how to use it and only finally used it the other day (had it a couple years!!). it was SO easy though! *just toss in some kernels, spray some olive oil, dash of salt, micro 2m 30s.* and lessen the time if you get burned ones. i got a multipack of 10 varieties of popcorn from amazon, by *amish country popcorn* for like $15. so far rainbow tasted the best. i'm loving this thing! :D

Maybe ask Eric to run to the closest movie theater and get a large bucket of popcorn.

I think it’s your Microwave. Mine I take out at 2 minutes. It depends on the wattage. If I set it by the Popcorn setting it’s too long. I really like it. Do you have to use Butter or just pop it plain? Did it come with instructions.?

These work better when you don't add any butter. I have a red one under the "Rapid Brands" name - exact same as what you have, just different color. With the same amount of popcorn kernels, and no butter, Mine pops almost all the kernels in just over 2 minutes (1000W microwave) and the popcorn comes out amazing. I once tried mine with butter and I think my results were similar to yours.

Your Micro should have a POPCORN button for optimum power and time. I have a Nordic popper and it’s great when I’m alone and an easier cleanup than the WhirlyPop I use with two of us. Yours is really cute tho!

Hi Amy and Eric, I am sorry but that Paris Hilton popcorn popper is a disaster. Try a Wear-Ever Popcorn Pumper, you have to help it sometimes by shaking the machine while it pops so the tube does not clog as it pops so fast, it makes excellent popcorn, I melt the butter separately and use Himalayan salt, delicious.

The problem with this thing is the butter cup. Don't use it. Butter dripping on the kernels will really mess up the popping process. It seems like a handy idea. No. Don't. The other issue is the design being too open. Popcorn pops faster if the pop and steam stay concentrated. This popper has too much room and the butter cup has holes in it. What want is one of the collapsable silicone popcorn poppers that are like $10 on Amazon. Pop dry, no oil or butter. The thing will do a whole batch in under 3 minutes. Popcorn my thing. I have a poppers from this kind all the way to an actual kettle out of movie theater. I buy my popcorn kernels wholesale in 50lb sacks. It's not just a snack to me. It's an obsession.

Hate this thing. Every batch is half unpopped kernels and half burned. I've tried everything. It's an awful popper.
