I have always looked for her back up singer. Extreme talent made you want to dance. Does anyone know what happened to the band? Amy to me was a rare frail little girl headed in the wrong direction. I as thousands of others loved her and miss her person and her one of a kind talent.

I lost my girlfriend this past June to alcohol.. she ended up losing her mind and also only weighed 85 pounds towards the end. Her family unfortunately gave up on her. Even her own twin sister! I tried to keep her with me, showing her love and compassion as much as I could. Was our third and last time together since high school. We made it three years this time. I miss her every day!

Lp

Agreed, I decided to close my eyes about half way in and despite her being ill with her throat/chest and the fact that she was all jittery and nowhere close to sober, her voice was still there and what I mean by that is that for her, singing was as easy as talking. I closed my eyes halfway through and imagined her in a big comfy chair beside a fire with a big oversized cardigan on, a blanket over her legs all curled up in the chair and a soothing warm drink in her hands as she bathes in cosy light from a lamp whilst just singing to herself with a smile on her face, enjoying her own voice alone while she heals. I wish that were true xxx

A hug would not have helped Amy Winehouse. A serious intervention is what she needed. She was her own worst enemy. I remember the first time I heard her on the radio. At the time I had know idea who she was. I only knew she had the most wonderful voice I had heard in decades. I became instantly hooked only to watch her slowly desintagrat in front of my eyes. She left many fans heartbroken

I am 60 years old and I so relate to Amy winehouse. A reporter once said that without alcohol or drugs, Amy was like interviewing a rock. I get it. Born in the 60s and by the time the seventies rolled around, I was the life of the party, but of course I was stoned, drunk. I get it. I was social when I was tore the hell up. Sober, I was quiet as a church mouse and as insecure as you can get. As was Amy. And she had a much bigger audience than I did. Bless your heart I get it. May you rest in peace and I hope your personality shines now. Much love Grandma Gia in the Ozarks

The ppl in the comments saying "how could those close to her have not stopped her?"...clearly you don't know a thing about addiction. You have to want to save yourself. It's the fight of a lifetime, it's not just a medical treatment. You have to want it in the deepest core of your being. Consistently. And then you have a chance. Those who love someone with addiction often say that one of the worst parts is watching them die slowly, right in front of you. And it being out of your control.

So my Question is There are actors, singers who are famous and have fans in millions, these fans also sends them gifts and shows so much love that I sometimes think that these fans can even die for them. But then at such times when they should help their idols, they don't.So does it mean that their love, support towards their idol was fake?? I'm 17 yrs old medical student, I don't have much understanding of society and other such things, so could you please explain me what really are these fans. Are they fake or they're so selfish??

Poor baby girl. I miss her so much. I had a precious little cat for 10 years named "Frank" and many nights, we would cuddle and listen to her "Frank" album. He passed away unexpectedly last year. I hope he was able to find Amy and was somehow able to tell her about that when he got there, how much we love her music. I like to think that maybe they can look out for one another. He sure took care of me while he was here. He was that friend I always needed, and I hope he can be that friend for her now.

Can you imagine if she was a nurse or a caregiver, we worship those who struggle , yet ordinary people get through life , yes she was an addict. But do not turn up for work like this, compassion is important, reality is real. People paid to see her perform, she should have cancelled, she had the power, mental illness is heart breaking, does not get you a get out of jail card. And her defiance with this song, rehab, makes me feel kinda sick. Ordinary people suffer every day, she had the money to get help. END OF RANT . AND I HAVE COMPASSION.

She was famous, she was a beautiful artist in the industry, there should have been an intervention, but the dark world of entertainment harvests the need for mind altering substances to bandaid the stress and expectations of the artists at the demand of their STARDOM. Meaning the people want to see and hear her so let’s let her keep going because she is entertaining and making money no matter the personal status mental health and wellbeing of that artist. The heart saying Blake in her hair. Their relationship was one of those that was always going to end in each of them falling further down the hole. Too much toxic love, compounded by drug use, to the point where they felt it was them against the world. I don’t think she would have listened to anyone. Hearing her sing Rehab is horrific. You often hear the defiance, but also the regret in her voice. People singing along like it’s just a song, when it was her life. She is a national treasure for us in the UK, I walked past her statue in Camden only the other day. I hope she’s at peace.

@@danielsimmonds464 After surviving an extreme overdose of cocaine, heroine and alcohol, the majority of the people actually wanted her go to rehab or even lock her up in her own house for her own safety. Friends and business people. But daddy dearest didn't find it necessary to bring her to rehab! When I heard the song for the first time, i was surprised by the sentence 'and if my daddy thinks i'm fine'. How can a parent think you're fine? But later i heard the rumers about Amy's addiction and looks and behaviour, i realized that she didn't feel validated by her parents. Too often it's a reason for selfdestructive behaviour. After watching the documentary 'Amy' i think her father was extremely naief. So sad. A gifted voice is gone.🔊🔉🔈🔇🔌😢😭
