If that's true, then it's kind of 'poetic' that the last note of her entire recorded repertoire was a major 2nd dissonance over a tonic chord, (with none other then Tony Bennett himself holding that tonic!). You can't teach a person to make those kinds of musical decisions, they have to just... feel it and know how to express it. I also love Tony's reaction and how he so effortlessly goes with it. A less experienced singer might have assumed it was a mistake, and stopped singing.

I watched the documentary AMY for the first time last night. They showed the making of this moment with them together. I haven't seen the movie yet but I've reserved the DVD....Heard it is a heartbreaker. I love this woman to the core: her talent, her person, her tragedy. Nobody sings like her: raw, honest and so soulful your heart hurts every time she opens her mouth. Why did she have to go so soon.....
