This is one of my favorite songs. I first heard it as a child at vacation bible school. Even before I knew Him He was already at work in my life. Thank God for my next door neighbors and all the Christian people whom were in my young life. They nurtured the seed that was planted in my heart. Because of them and my loving mother I belong to Christ. To GOD be the glory. Thank you Jesus.

I’ve heard many hymns but didn’t know about this one until recently. My grandfather died at 71 years old almost a week ago of liver cancer, and he had huge impact on everyone who knew him. He was a man of god to the point at which his entire funeral and memorial and even his gravestone are all planned so that more people would hear Christ. When he was on his way out, my grandma asked him what song he wanted to listen to, and without hesitation he said this song. It was one of his favorites and meant something to him. Now I’ve heard it. It’s painful to have him gone, but we all know we’ll see him again one day. It’s okay though, because his God is our God, and because of Him, when death comes, we can just shrug our shoulders at it and say “Whatever. It’s just death. My God is Greater.” I’m reminded of the lyrics of another song. “Death is just a doorway into resurrecting life, and if I join you in your suffering, then I’ll join you when you rise.” I hope that this comment serves as a testimony of God that brings hope to someone else out there, because when I abide in the Lord, He gives me peace.

My Father, Alvin W. Lehman Sept. 25, 1904 ~ July 25, 1980…was a SON of a Mennonite preacher man, John K. Lehman who finished growing, living & Working in Rural central Alberta in a tiny village called Ryley.. HE LOVED❤️❤️❤️ God, his Heavenly Father , his wife, Goldie, their 6 children, their mates& all the family they were blessed with.. He loved Salem Mennonite Church that he called HOME, all his life.. & Yes, MANY OF THE congregation was his family.. uncles, aunts, 1st cousins, etc.. . Where the singing was one of the congregational Blessings of approximately, 300 voices in the 1960’s. One of my Fathers most favourite songs, was..”This Is My Father’s World”. I love to hear it..as George Beverly Shay would sing.. my father had an equally deep voice.. keep singing..& I will see you, Mama & other Family…in the MORNING..XOXOXO
