Lyrics:
Baby, baby
I'm taken with the notion
To love you with the sweetest of devotion
Baby, baby
My tender love will flow from
The bluest sky to the deepest ocean
Stop for a minute
Baby I'm so glad you're mine, yeah
You're mine
Baby, baby
The stars are shining for you
And just like me I'm sure that they adore you
Baby, baby
Go walking through the forest
The birds above a' singing you a chorus
Stop for a minute
Baby they're so glad you're mine, oh yeah
And ever since the day you put my heart in motion
Baby I realize that there's just no getting over you
Baby, baby
In any kind of weather
I'm here for you always and forever
Baby, baby
No muscle man could sever
My love for you is true and it will never
Stop for a minute
Baby I'm so glad you're mine
And ever since the day you put my heart in motion
Baby I realize that there's just no getting over you
And ever since the day you put my heart in motion
Baby I realize that there's just no getting over you
Over you
Baby, baby
Always and forever
Baby I'm so glad that
Here for you baby
So glad you're mine
Baby I'm so glad that
When I think about you it makes me smile
Baby, baby be mine
Baby, I'm so glad that
Don't stop giving love
Don't stop, no
Baby I'm so glad that you're mine
Baby I'm so glad
Baby I'm so glad that
When I think about you it makes me smile
Amy Grant has built a long, successful career on music that matters. Ever since she burst on the scene as a fresh-faced teenager bringing contemporary Christian music to the forefront of American culture, the Nashville native gained a reputation for creating potent songs that examined life’s complexities with an open heart and keen eye. She became the first artist in Christian music to have a platinum record and went on to become a crossover sensation, her musical gifts transcending genre boundaries to make her a household name.
She’s earned six Grammy Awards and numerous Gospel Music Association Dove Awards as well as three multi-platinum albums, six platinum albums, and four gold albums. She’s achieved 10 Top 40 pop singles and placed 17 hits on the Top 40 Adult Contemporary chart as well as scoring numerous hits on the contemporary Christian charts. A longtime and active Nashville resident, Grant is as well known for her philanthropy as her music. She and husband, Vince Gill, are tireless in their efforts to aid worthy causes.

I totally disagree. The mid 1990's was when things in America started to get really dark and depressive culturally, socially, and economically. The music quality fell off significantly and the music being put out had dark, depressive, evil vibes. The current opioid crisis and mass shootings also started way back in the late 90's. Again... for me 1980's to EARLY 1990's (1990 - 1993) was one of the best eras of America. But your entitled to your opinion. I just respectfully disagree.@@quanashiab.9620

My mom dedicated this song to me. She told me that when she got in the car after leaving the hospital and finding out she was pregnant with me, this was the song playing on the radio. She would sing it all the time throughout my childhood. She was my world. The most amazing woman I've ever know. It broke me when she passed away in 2009 when I was 16. Hearing this song though... It helps. Ill never stop missing her and ill always be her baby.

Really? Makes sense. If the public knew the song was dedicated to Amy's newborn baby... maybe the song wouldn't be as much of a success. Making it seem that it's a romantic song dedicated to her boyfriend is what the listeners probably prefer.

Excuse me this person was Married to Gary Chapman both couples were friends. Now, Grant and Gill Divorced and Married. Strange timing you can't have it one way then the other. Read what Chapman said. Now you bring up Scripture? Sorry that dog don't hunt. Clean thy self up . That is like Reba who actually got her Husband through buying him from his Wife then that man divorced her. We as People got to stand for something or fall for anything. Let's embrace right and keep the Sabbath give God the Glory and call out who is wrong don't just go along. Prayers for all. This song was always playing in the car when she would drive me to school. When I was young, this song this song seemed to be always playing in the car when she would drive me to school. Yes, we are most fortunate to have grown up when artists performed music with good melodies, good lyrics, genuine up lifting emotions and vocal talent. These days are the dark ages for the kids growing up and they will never relive their Gaga, Bieber, current top 40 corporate created soulless depressing decadent pop singers with electronically altered voices in 5, 10, 20 years. I for one will continue to listen to the good music that I grew up on till my twilight years. Nothing comes close to the positive vibe in the late 80s, early 90s music.

Amy originally write this song around her small child at the time. She came home and through the front door and her child greeted her at the door and she thought "Oh Baby Baby" and wrote the song in about 10 minutes. I believe she changed the dynamic of the song with the video because a song dedicated to a significant other sells more then a song dedicated to a child.

Baby, baby I'm taken with the notion To love you with the sweetest of devotion Baby, baby My tender love will flow from The bluest sky to the deepest ocean Stop for a minute Baby, I'm so glad you're mine, yeah You're mine Baby, baby The stars are shining for you And just like me I'm sure that they adore you Baby, baby Go walking through the forest The birds above a' singing you a chorus Stop for a minute Baby, they're so glad you're mine, oh yeah And ever since the day you put my heart in motion Baby I realize that there's just no getting over you Baby, baby In any kind of weather I'm here for you always and forever Baby, baby No muscle man could sever My love for you is true and it will never Stop for a minute Baby, they're so glad you're mine And ever since the day you put my heart in motion Baby I realize that there's just no getting over you And ever since the day you put my heart in motion Baby I realize that there's just no getting over you Over you Baby, baby Always and forever Baby I'm so glad that Here for you baby So glad you're mine Baby I'm so glad that When I think about you it makes me smile Baby, baby be mine Baby I'm so glad that Don't stop giving love Don't stop, no Baby I'm so glad that you're mine Baby I'm so glad Baby I'm so glad that When I think about you it makes me smile
