I totally disagree. The mid 1990's was when things in America started to get really dark and depressive culturally, socially, and economically. The music quality fell off significantly and the music being put out had dark, depressive, evil vibes. The current opioid crisis and mass shootings also started way back in the late 90's. My mom dedicated this song to me. She told me that when she got in the car after leaving the hospital and finding out she was pregnant with me, this was the song playing on the radio. She would sing it all the time throughout my childhood. She was my world. The most amazing woman I've ever know. It broke me when she passed away in 2009 when I was 16. Hearing this song though... It helps. Ill never stop missing her and ill always be her baby.

Yes, we are most fortunate to have grown up when artists performed music with good melodies, good lyrics, genuine up lifting emotions and vocal talent. These days are the dark ages for the kids growing up and they will never relive their Gaga, Bieber, current top 40 corporate created soulless depressing decadent pop singers with electronically altered voices in 5, 10, 20 years.
