Not necessarily. There's a couple of ways to get that 1/4" on this machine
@TheMinot604 жыл бұрын
I wonder why there is so little discussion on free motion embroidery. I’ve never had much desire to have a machine that embroidered someone else’s designs. I think this machine would be exceptional for free motion embroidery because you can use the knee lift bar to vary the width of zig zag, something that might work magic with the craft and I think the motor would hold up well. I’ve just put a deposit on this whale, and I’ll give some fme a shot and let you know.
@alanahope25022 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. Do you feel it needs the Blue Dot Bobbin Case or ok without it?
@AmyQuilts2 жыл бұрын
I find that is OK without it, because when using the application menu for free motion, it increases the tension for you! Sometimes I do increase the tension a little bit more. The machine makes that so easy! It goes back to the normal tension when you are done.
@dennyr9893 жыл бұрын

Are there any patterns for the M7 Continental to follow instead just stabbing in the dark? I'm a newbie
@AmyQuilts2 жыл бұрын
Patterns? I'm not sure I understand your question. You can use any pattern you desire on this machine. Or are you asking about free motion quilting designs? Or a guide for learning this machine? Janome does have a M7 workbook you can purchase, and I have the AmyQuilts Clubhouse, which is a membership program centered around learning more about your higher end Janome, including the M7. Our shop is currently out of the workbook, check with your dealer. Info about my Clubhouse: amyquilts.teachable.com/p/amyquilts-sewing-clubhouse. No stabbing necessary.... Leave me another comment with clarification and I do my best to answer.

Why not use the blue dot (low tension) bobbin case that’s specifically for free motion?
@AmyQuilts Жыл бұрын
You can if you want. But using the applications menu to set up for free motion automatically increases the top tension for you. Tightening the top tension is the same as reducing the bobbin tension without making another purchase. Fine tuning the tension is super easy if needed no matter the method.
