I've had the opportunity to see him live, and I can tell you, as a bluegrass guitar player, Billy is a generational talent. Best player I'll see in my lifetime.

@@thaddeusk4230 I saw Tony dozens of times; this is the next generation of guitar talent. First Tony Rice (great), then Bryan Sutton (better), now Billy (even better!). I have lived in the golden age of flatpicking. Go further back and Doc was the man. I got to see all of these guys many times!

First off kill the fucking caps, and your preaching to a very large choir (he's a wonderful talented musician). I'm just a shade south of 70 y.o., and I could have told you that 7 years ago. But the best ever? You need to mine the genre a bit grasshopper.

I was there. I know it may seem impossible, but Billy is getting better all the time and will continue to improve as he has done since he came on the scene. This video is great, but it was even more impressive being there! Billy Strings is the real deal. There is little doubt, assuming he keeps in good health, that he is THE guitarist of the next thirty years. If you like guitar, you're in for a ride! Hold on!

The banjo man (please introduce him) is your protector. He loves you and you respect him. The beginning of great, phenominal, new music. I love it. Its been since the 70's. C'mon guys you're all good.

Why don't you just try and LURRRRRN who the banjo player is, not to mention the mando and bass player. Lazy or just stupid??? You've got a computer, an I phone. Why not just LURRRRRRN. It's so much rewarding that way. Beginning? This above the Mason-Dixon line old MFer (I'm just a shade south of 70) has been digging on BS, seeing him for about 7 years now. Lemme guesss. It was Dust in the Baggie, the anthem for Meth heads out of MO, out of IN or KY that brought him into your focus? Fuck me and fuck these comments.

Pleanty of people play fast, like the 11 yr olds that 2 hand tap and so on. All over youtube it seems. Agree with ya, and even more than fast, it's fast with feeling. That's what makes him good to me... Cheers friend.

Thank you for watching, Cameron. Yeah, of all the Billy Strings I’ve seen, I must say this version of Black Clouds is my all-time favorite performance of his; it is absolutely incredible; I’ve watched it over and over again about 200 times.

Yeah, watching him play this with SCI was so great! The fun you could see on his and Bill's faces while back and forthing is just beautiful! This performance is great, but sometimes it's a little too weird when Billy goes off on his "experimental" tangents, which happens a little here 🤷🏻♂️ Still fucking great though!
