Amyloidosis Update - Venclexta Prothena NEOD

4.24.18 - Overall feeling good. Really sore every day... especially in the morning. Soreness may be coming from the Venclexta healing serum.
If I wasn't wired the way I am, I definitely wouldn't keep going to the gym. Getting through the soreness, and then seeing no progress since October 2017. Still going though...
The word is Prothena is terminating the NEOD study, which is the synthetic antibodies designed to kill the amyloid proteins from the heart or other organs. More to come...

Dan hopefully the oncologist can prescribe something to counteract the body aches and pains. I also read that the phase 2 and 3 trial of neod has been cancelled. First I want to thank you for participating in the trial. Your monthly trips to Rochester were a major investment of time and energy. When these trials are successful we all have something to cheer about and your efforts in trying to find a cure are greatly appreciated. It is understandable that you are disappointed with the result. Fortunately for us , there are 2 other trials designed to go after the amyloid deposits.-an anti bodies study out of the UK -I think Glaxo. The other one is KL101.My reference was a video dated 11/17/2017by Ashutosh Wechaler University college London. Thank goodness for talented researchers, funds and volunteers like you. We just have to thrive until they find the cure.

Hang in there Dan. Your journey will have twists and turns as we all know. I have just had major surgery for something that was discovered during my Amyloidosis journey. Going home grom hospital today and surgeon is pleased with me . Plenty of rest should get me back on form. Have a good weekend.
