The Jamaica Inn is very atmospheric. Stayed a few times and couldn’t shake the feeling I was being watched. Second time I stayed, my partners shirts that he’d hung up neatly were all on the wardrobe floor in the morning. We’d heard nothing but did smell very strong tobacco smoke when we went to bed. A really great place to stay and so interesting when you see just how many famous people have stayed there over the years, including Winston Churchill. Looking forward to watching xx

I too wondered if it was the wind, (as in "the wind whistled through the trees") because it seemed to be happening at the apex of the gusts... but with multiple notes that to me sounded at least an octave lower than the squeaking metal sound that was happening at intervals as well, I think it sounded like someone as opposed to something, whistling.

I'm currently running a pub in Manchester UK with my partner it's around the same age as Jamaica Inn, not as big but pretty creepy, especially upstairs. It was built in 1710 called Smith's Inn and the name was changed in the 1730's to The Coach and Horses when the Manchester to Liverpool stagecoach was provided and this was a stopping off place. I have ghost tube, it comes up with relevent information. I've not done a big investigation but some of the customers agree that they have also been freaked out over various encounters.

Thank you for another fantastic and memorable episode! When Jared is sitting in Jack's seat, after he mentions his face being blown on, it looks as if there was movement captured from his face moving down towards his chest. BTW,: you have had other paranomal investigators joining you in the past, our family would love to see a special guest episode with one of Book Tube's most enigmatic haunted location investigator's; Gavin Hetherington, of Gavin Reads it all. It would be an absolute hoot.

This brings great memories, not spooky ones though. I lived in Cornwall before moving to Australia. My mother's godmother was Daphne Du Maurier, whom my grandfather met on the ship back from Egypt after a military posting. So interesting seeing this history as well as your investigating. Love your videos, but would love to see more Cornish content. The place is infested with history and amazing stories!! 😀

Amy, hearing the crying irl made it so much better than hearing it through an EVP. Nice research on the dreidel/teautum and piskie. Daphne du Maurier not only wrote Jamaica Inn, she also wrote Rebecca and The Birds all Hitchcock films.

Amy just after you mentioned the light at the foot of your bed and then you started to get comfortable, I saw what looked like an orb briefly appear to the left (for those watching) but to your right Amy. It came from the top of the bed and moved diagonally downwards towards you and then disappeared. I can't time stamp it because I joined the premier late and it doesn't show the proper time but it was just before this time 1:13:58. 1:14:40 another orb was seen moving right to left from the edge of you bed towards the opposite side of the bed ( away from you).

The Jamaican Inn is so cool! Very interesting investigation. There is a actually a lot I can say about this investigation, starting with my own experience with visual migraine headaches. I used to get them a lot, especially when I haven't eaten well. There were a couple times I would get what could be considered paranormal experiences associated with them My daughter lived in a house that appeared to have been haunted, and her daughter was convinced a ghost hung out in her closet. So I investigated this, like any good grandfather would. The moment I opened the door I got a splitting headache. It only lasted as long as the door was open though. The Seer image of what I would call "wee folk" was quite fascinating! I do believe they do exist in their own reality, and are a type of a "familiar spirits", or guides. I have felt their presence a few times. They can be very machivest at times! I really enjoyed this one, for that Inn appears very active!❤

Great video. Omg yes I had an ocular migraine. I was talking to the pharmacist and all of a sudden couldn’t see her out of my right eye. Never before nor never since. Probably 5 years ago. Never any headache or pain. It lasted like 45 minutes then faded away. I described it like broken a mirror put back together like a mosaic with the sun shining down on the mirror where it gives off all different colors. I told Dr and that’s when he told me Ocular Migraine. Sorry you have pain and migraines with it. Take care. ✌🏼

At 16:54, when pointing to the cabinet of tea and asking the question of what was inside, personally, I heard the response of “herbals” (you can even hear the syllables) not “I was” which would make more sense because the tea would have been mixed with other herbs and flowers for flavour. At 19:15, when you’re both calling out to the dog, one of you heard “fetch” and the other “Phillips” however, I had heard “filch”. I had no idea what this word meant so I went to Google and found the definition to be as follows: pilfer or steal (something, especially an item of small value) in a casual way. This fits perfectly with the theme of the inn entirely and seems to be fitting.

Omg guys I am sooo jealous you have been there. I am in love with that place. I have had 2 experiences in there, one in room 4 where ‘Jack’ actually showed showed his face to me for a split second and another was in the same room where my son was doing the scrying method and his face changed considerably, and this was seen by 3 other people in the room. It’s such an amazing place that I hope to visit again one day. A brilliant video guys, I do love watching you. Stay safe and much love ❤️

This was a really great investigation! I read Daphne du Mauriers’ book Jamaica Inn a few years back and have been very intrigued about this place ever since finding out it was an actual place. I really enjoyed the book as well, so anyone out there who likes to read I recommend the book. Most definitely a good ghost story of a book. Loved every bit of this investigation. Thank you! 💜✨

Hi guys wow I'm so jealous I always wanted to go to Cornwall in particular Port Isaac where they filmed Doc Martin. I absolutely from the first time I saw that place it felt like I belonged there and I needed to go there. You guys are so lucky to be traveling the world while your young and have no medical conditions to slow you down. I've been following your adventures for quite a while now and as a fellow South Australian I am so proud of you.👍🏻👍🏻👻👻

YAY, Im so pleased you finally got to go to Jamaica Inn and Bodmin Gaol, ( i mentioned these 2 places to you a while back and you finally made it there and had your own experiences)) , Been to both of these places many times and slept quite a few times at Jamaica Inn in room 5 and room 6, We had footsteps in our room and orbs we could see visually, Saw a female in the mirror, and our camera would not work every time we tried to enter the restaurant area, saw the lill girl in the passage way upstairs, Packed full of many para experiences,, Thanks x ( if id known you were coming you could have stayed at mine , only 1/2 hour drive away lol

Happy to answer your qustion. The builder of the Jamaica Inn was a sea captain. He had links to the West Indies and the land belonged to the Scawens, who also had links to the same place.
