It actually goes back to old Viking long house designs. The idea was that having to duck your head entering a doorway made you vulnerable. This made it easier for an outnumbered group to defend the room being entered.

Early on, when you heard the voice say 'Whiskey' through the Ghost Tube OG app, it was followed by the same voice saying, 'I told him'; and soon after, 'She told me'. Do you think the 'whiskey' was the man's request, and Amy's offer to 'Bring some tomorrow' was what she told him? Would make compelling sense, as it's all in context! 🥃🍻🥂 28:24 Orb, centre of screen, moving to the left 1:06:29 FAST orb, upper right corner...and Jarrad saw it too! ('...let's just pretend that's dust...'! 😅) 1:08:23 YOIKS! Light anomaly, DIRECTLY ABOVE AMY, in her sleeping bag! 1:08:35 COOL: you caught it, too! (Honestly, we don't know how you both managed to kip in rooms with mannikins. 😓😓) 1:13:01 This was one of the BEST thermal images we've seen captured, because you caught the figure MOVING. It looked like it walked into frame, then turned and receded in a direction no longer accessible. And Jarrad is right: spirits, when seen moving at strange, 'floaty' levels, are trodding floors and passageways and areas which no longer exist in our time. Your FLIR figure seemed to do just that!

You both are much braver than I. Sleeping alone in such a creepy location. I appreciate the way you both attempt to communicate with spirits. You don't talk "baby talk" to them about being able to touch pretty lights. You speak as if you were speaking to someone standing in front of you. I think that's very respectful. Oh my goodness which one if you had the worst deal when sleeping…BOTH of you. I cannot understand how you even contemplate sleeping so far apart in these terrifying places! Wow, so very active. I love that the spirits choose the voice sound, that was really great. The responses on the ship were so rude, they didn’t like you… then the cells were very responsive but seemed more interesting rather than scary. I could see the figure too which seemed paranormal to me, but they looked kind of modern i. Appearance too, which was strange. Honestly you did it again guys, great video, no holds batted. Great episode Amy! The image on the thermal was terrifying even if only for a frame or two. Jarrad in the attic made me laugh: ''I'm not sleeping here!'' Then he ends up sleeping in the attic with something ever so slightly tugging away at his sleeping bag. I'm guessing the image that came through on the ghost tube lens was that creepy captain guy watching in the corner of the attic?

The history of this location in particular struck me as incredibly sad, more so than I've felt seeing other locations. I've got Irish roots so maybe some ancestral part of me recalls the plight of fellow countrymen/women from the period. The Irish have been brutalized in the past more than people realize.
