I have mild POTS and I’m glad you acknowledge that when lying down heart rate almost drops too low. So many people are very open about how high their heart rate goes but not how low. For me when I lie down and especially when I sleep my heart rate drops. When I’m lying down it goes to the low 50’s but when I sleep it drops to the 40’s

Man, POTS must really be a pain when it's a bad day. I'm at 152BPM at the hardest part of a spin class. I can't imagine my heart beating that fast just standing up.
@dakotajordyn55415 жыл бұрын
Jeneva Griffin I know this was a while ago. Anyways some doctors compare it to copd and congestive heart failure. I believe it was Dr.Blair Grubb who said that.

i have positional orthostatic hypotension. same symptoms of POTS, but different causes and specifics. first time the doctors tested me, my heart rate went up by 30 just sitting up, 40 standing. getting worse now. i already have a fast heart rate without sitting or standing up. its a pain because (at least for POH) dizziness occurs from a span of instant to 3 minutes. you could pass out as well, which is happening to me. so you could think you're fine, and wake up on the floor wondering what you were last doing. havent broken anything yet, but probably will.
@celiaatkinson96214 жыл бұрын
P.O.T.S. can make you pass out sitting. Is hypotension just like pots but with the added high blood pressure? I always walked my dog the same route so my husband knew which direction to find me, if he had to come home.

You do not need to apologize to us. Your video today was as enjoyable and interesting. Not that I liked that your BP was wacky, but your blood sugar and orthostatic BP and heart rate. It's encouraging to see you get through stuff because you have to, even though you wanted to be resting in your bed. I look forward to your vlogs, but I would never put pressure on you to do any more than you are able to. No one of your subscribers would ever hold a video against you. You just do what you need to do. We'll manage and follow your IG.

Please dont apologize, I look forward to watching your vlogs as you post. I understand how difficult it is to be consistent when battling all the multiple medical issues we have. I spent 8 hours in the infusion center yeaterday for chemotherapy then two units of red blood cells. At one point my Nurse helped me up to the bathroom, I did okay, but when returning to my chair, the POTS acted up amd I nearly passed out. Luckily the Nurse caught me and moved me to the chair. My oncologist came over to see what happened and, saw my pulse way up, my blood pressure fall, and kept me an extra two hours to monitor my vitals. He let me go home with strict bedrest order for 24 hours at least. I have absolutely no energy to do anything today, I couldnt imagine trying to vlog when I feel like this. You are such an inspiration to so many people, please dont forget that. Just take care of yourself and find your balance. It's to easy to over-do things on our good days, only to crash the next. If 30 years of battling these autoimmune diseases and now cancer, has taught me anything, it's to listen very carefully to my body and not to push myself when I shouldnt. Blessings Be 💕

I definitely enjoy your vlogs. We understand that you have health issues and having the time or chance to edit isn't always your priority. Taking care of your health is the priority. Having a crazy blood pressure and heart rate is annoying. My husband calls me a zombie because when I get my blood pressure done either the machine doesn't work or the nurse can't hear it. I run low all the time. I have been in the hospital and the dr actually lowered one of my meds because my pressure was like 47 over 30. They kind of freaked out. I felt fine. I think for me mine is around 100 over 60. No one has said anything about having POTS or anything like that. Please take care of yourself and update when you feel better.

Ive found Independence Australia cheaper than Brightsky-but Brightsky’s customer service is SO much better than Independence Australia-night and day in my experience!! Has the NDIS rolled out in your area yet? I’m not sure of your residency status and how that would affect your application, but it has made an unbelievable, incredible difference to my life. I honestly don’t know how I managed prior to the NDIS. Sure I had to fight for it, and it’s not easy at all the time (I’ve just had to wait nearly 2 years for a wheelchair)-but I now have a yearly “consumables” (disposable/single use products) which helps me SO much. It’s important tho that you budget out your funding properly over the entire year, because once you use up your funding, that’s it!

Happy with the vlogs! Still very enjoyable! 👍🏼😊 Sorry your POTS is crap. It's soooo exhausting, as is low blood pressure. I thought I was a wimp, but my dad is periodically having low blood pressure (90s/60s, which is my normal LOL), and he is like, I have to lay down! And he can't function well until it comes up again. Of course, I get him fluids and a salty snack, which is enough to get it back up. Thank goodness his issue is easily fixed for now. It's nice to be able to help him.

I have been fainting everyday for the last two months. Doctors say it is just due to stress even though I have had multiple er visits. I'm glad I haven't gotten too hurt but I haven't been working for a month. I'm looking into POTS but I am unsure. What you said in the video on how hard it is helped me feel better. Hopefully it goes away soon I bought a fitbit to track my heart rate, it is about 90-100 when resting. It is very annoying when the doctors say I am fine then faint 10 minutes later. I still enjoy your vlogs! But finally, I suggest a youtuber Jessica Kelgren-Fozard, she is deaf, had pots and other things like that, maybe you would like her. ❤

My doctor won’t allow lines because of the risk of infection is too high (UK spoonie) but I can request a bag of fluid to be infused in hospital. Amy I’m a community nurse and we use Derma s barrier cream wipes/lollipops and find they work better than cavillon, can you get hold of them?
