Damn... This is still here. This skit itself is from 1990s. The Deadale Wives were a troupe much like Critical Roll or Dimension 20 today, but they never got the fame. Truly they were ahead of their time.

I like how the DM just makes an obligatory roll for the guy that asks if he's drunk yet. Don't know how many times I rolled dice behind the dungeon shield to make the players feel like something serious was going on.

When I first saw this flash animation as a kid, I never really got the joke at the start of talking about Satan's Game. Now that I know more, it's insane that, at some point, people were afraid of D&D.

@@miguelnewmexico8641 Our youth pastor did, and sat in on a game. He told the parents it was just make-believe with rules. A lot of parents were not happy with this, and some tried to get him removed from his position. He stayed, but it opened his eyes to how some people are. My mom didn't like it due to the BS stories that were in the news and radio. She did come around, but it still sucked back when the panic was going on.

My DM told us to make a perception check. I heard a vicious snarl from the shadows (Shadows - Darkness). I attacked it with magic missile.. I felt like the greatest dnd player ever.

Not to be 'that guy', but doesn't magic Missile require visual sight line, in the targeting? "You cast at one or more creatures *that you can see*" so, only if you had Darkvision to have dim vlight level of perception (at disadvantage) in the Darkness would you have been able to target and cast Magic Missile. At least in 5th edition. Also, I'm old enough to remember this skit before it was animated. Love it, I'm not busting your chops, just having fun with it.

@@ImFangzBro *has less than* total cover or total concealment, not just “has.” From the SRD: “The missile strikes unerringly, even if the target is in melee combat or has less than total cover or total concealment. Specific parts of a creature can’t be singled out. Inanimate objects are not damaged by the spell.” You still have to be able to target the thing you want to hit.

This video is what Big Bang Theory should’ve been. Not shoehorn a weird geek with a hot blonde, as well as having some of the WORST stereotypes and shit... It was also used at the end of Summoner (early 2000 CRPG) as a bonus skit after end credits. It used characters from the game plus one of the guards from the first Red Faction, also from THQ.

I have never played dnd but it has been confirmed you cannot cast magic missile at the darkness. Results on if you can cast darkness at magic missiles is dubious however.
