There was never a prophet called "Muhammad" or even a city called Mecca, it is a late invention of the hadiths. The word “muhammad” in the Quran (meaning “the praised one”) and which appears only 4 times, is not a proper name but a title that refers to Jesus, as a prophet and messiah. If you don't find references then rest assured that the prophecies announced in Gospel of John (16:7, 16:12 and 16:13) were only for Muhammad, peace be upon him, who was a true prophet. Give reference why Gospels (man written) were necessary when God given Torah and Zabor (Psalms) were already there. What guidance was missing in those revealed books which Gospels completed. 2. Give reference where Jesus himself said that his followers should be called as Christians and his faith as Christianity. 3. Give reference where Jesus himself directed/inspired his disciples to write Gospels. 4. Give reference where Jesus himself said to make his statues and paintings for worship in churches. 5. Jesus spoke Aramaic, then why original Gospels exist in Greek instead of Aramaic. 6. Give reference that the present worship procedure in practice in churches was prescribed by Jesus himself. 7. Give reference where procedure of marriage is given by Jesus. 8. Give reference where procedure for burial of a dead person is given in Gospels.

Nehemiah Gordon is Jewish. He goes out of his way at times to disprove Christianity and read later Rabbinic Jewish texts into early Christianity. Not a good choice for scholars.
